Virgin Media have now adopted a policy of only putting up their prices on a annual basis at the end of each financial year based on the retail price index (rpi) of February plus 3.9% administration fee.

Therefore their increase for the next twelve months is made up of 4.9% of the rpi for February plus the 3.9% administration fee making the total of 8.8%

The next price rise will be at the end of the next financial year in 2025 whereas other companies will more than likely still carry on with old system of putting up price inceases when they feel like it during the course of a year.

You can always change your provider if you are not happy with any price increase or indeed service visits, but after the bad experiences my Wife and I had with both BT and SKY, we will stick with Virgin Media, especially when we can contact them by 150 which was not been the case when we tried to contact BT and SKY!
