you never see anyone today drinking those, pint mugs of tea, My dad used to have one and, He always drank the full pint over about 1/2 an hour, It had to be ' real tea' , PG tips , not tea bags , done in a teapot so he could have a top up, with one and a half teaspoons of sugar, I know this because, I was his unpaid tea lad, We had a strainer to catch the leaves and the rule then was,One teaspoon full for every cup then one extra for the pot , So my dads teapot was a six cupper so, I used to put 7 teaspoons of PG tips and fill the pot with boiling water, stir and fit tea cozy, let it brew for 10 mins and then pour,
I never drank it, I'd drink corpy pop or milk if we had any,
