DO ABTA, ATOL or even CC companies not step into the breach? I was booked with Thomas Cook last November to travel from Manchester to Tenerife and even though I had only booked using my UK debit card HSBC stepped up and refunded me. They had the preprinted form on their web site the same day Thomas Cook went bust. A very simple procedure.
