"No trying to talk me into rebooking on another date"

I'd two flights booked with Ryanair. They 'want' me to accept a refund. Everything guides me to accepting a refund, rather than transferring the flights to a later date. The flights were, I think, £34.98 each, Liverpool - Reus, return.

Now, my reasoning is as follows -

If I accepted a refund, I'd get £69.96 back.

I've checked the future flight prices, and they've all skyrocketed! So, instead of paying over £200 for the next flights, I want to transfer the ones I've paid only £69.96 for. To transfer the flights to a date at my convenience is my right, according to the EU261 cancelled flights rules.

"I will certainly book with this company again in the future"

That being the case, would it not be more economical to have transferred your booking to a later date, at your convenience, at the price you's already paid?, rather than pay the inflated prices which will surely come after this fiasco?

Jet2 are just as good a company as the rest of 'em!
