dougie, I found a few fossils when I worked at Golborne, usually in the Crombouke seam. Nothing really special just small leaves and bits of ferns, I might still have them somewhere. I did hear a story about a tree trunk being found in the tunnel being driven to connect Golborne and Bickershaw but I never saw it. Chris Southworth might know if it's true or not.
