“ give it to those who didn’t want them to vote” Surely that would cover every government formed. I think they can currently register to vote at 16 but not vote until they are 18. It is also my understanding that you can join the British Army at 16 but cannot be sent to a war zone until you turn 18. So the phrase about being killed but not voting would seem to be incorrect.
