Why is the same criticism not levelled at Boris?

He 'buffooned' his way out of questions concerning his cocaine use, pretending his incompetence excused him.

"Tried but failed"

"Sneezed"

"It was probably icing sugar anyway"

etc etc

He would have been thrown out of the Bullindon Club!

Then he just does a Trump, and in spite of the TV footage to the contrary, simply denies that he ever said it anyway!
