I was born at the beginning of the forties,so I've seen first hand what it was to be poor, there was no money for anything only food and clothing but people had standards, gardens were kept as well as possible, homes were clean and tidy, shops would sweep and clean the outsides daily, how things have changed,it seems as long as there's a new lump of tin on the drive (CAR)and the bin is full of ready meal boxes, thats life these days.
