I could pick dozens of albums, but in the interests of brevity and diversity here are my three:-

'Tubular Bells' - Mike Oldfield - a seminal and ground braking multi million seller.
It was followed by 'Hergest Ridge', 'Ommadawn' and 'Incantations', arguably his best compositions.

'All Things Must Pass' - George Harrison - his first solo work after the break-up of the Beatles in 1970.

'Below the Salt' - Steeleye Span - I'm a bit of a folkie so had to include the best folk rock band of all time, just superb.
