just been back revisiting this post and I took the time to follow the link to the 'awards' page from that posted up top .

suddenly this 'achievement' doesn't look so much like one.

there are 20 different categories and 157 shortlisted in those categories. Considering there are about 350 councils that menììans an awful lot of councils appear on th list !!!!!!
aren't they all doing well then.
More importantly can we consider WMBC a failut're becaus eit'0s only shortlisted in 1 category ?
a lot are multiply short-listed - Burnley CC and Essex CC leading the way with 7 each

it's a bit like wmbc winning the oscar for best lighting effects for forign cartoon short documentary - not worth the paper it's written on.

And I wonder how much they spent on this nonsense - shouldn't they have foregone entering in the name of efficiency ?
oh no I forgot, there's the big slap up nosh awards ceremony in London in March to attend for Dame Donna Sir Peter and her entourage - all extra money that too going down the austerity plughile. ver yefficient
