General   (General discussion, talk about anything.)

Started by: Platty (2107)

During the referendum debate, I asked my MP, my MEP and at a debate I attended which had an MP on the remain side, (can't remember her name), how much the pension bill was going to be for all the MEPs, admin, etc. of the EU, as the EU rolled on and employed more and more sycophants (I didn't use that word at the time!), family members, etc.

I never got an answer. After Article 50, Tusk said to May that Britain must continue to contribute its' share to the ongoing pensions (over and above the British MEPs). That conversation has been swept under the carpet.

The reason I voted out was because the cost of the EU is rolling out of all control and our descendants are not going to be able to afford it. The cost of public sector pension in this country alone is unaffordable.

We had no control over our benefit system, sending child benefit, for example, back to children in Poland and other EU countries is not affordable.
