momac it's not cheap. I've been wanting to do it for ages but my sons clubbed together for my birthday treat! I think about £80. Ancestry sent me an email today with a 20%off offer on. I have Irish on both sides from the famine years so I knew there would be a good percentage. Go to the History shop on Mon pm and they do genealogy help then. Peter P I don't know how it all works but sires like Ancestry explain it and there are videos too on youtube I think.
dave I don't know about DNA being passed on to third parties, I think Ancestry say they don't . but who would want to know and why?
