Maureen, it's really interesting doing your family tree. You can do it free in the History Shop in Library St. They are very helpful. I did mine back to 1800 in Ireland in the potato famine when they came over here. They must have been brave. I said how did they get from Liverpool to Wigan and Bernard in Australia said they would have got lifts on horse and carts. I think the majority of Wallgate was from County Clare.
