When the UK triggered Article 50 it lost the right to the EU treaty benefits negotiated by Mrs. Thatcher and John Major.
If the UK now wished to cancel Article 50 it would lose the financial contribution rebates and would have to sign up to closer integration within the EU. It would also have to commit to joining the Euro currency and other aspects of EU rules to which have not, so far,found favour with the UK.
