At Notre Dame our uniform had to be bought from Henry Barry in Manchester at extortionate prices. The pinafore dress and cullotte shorts both had to be dry cleaned. Not very practicle. We had to make the uniform last for 5 years. Can't remember whether mine was two sizes too big when I started or two sizes too small when I left.
