General (General discussion, talk about anything.)
Mollie she was in MAU on this visit she is in Lowton ward. She will be 68 years old on the 2nd May (no age)with no quality of life and the hospital is getting like a second home to both of us.
She has not been in the best of health for a few years now 12 years ago a massive stroke which left her with no use of her right hand and very limited walking (aided). Then 2 years ago she started doing silly things and she was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia.November of last year the Physio was trying to get her to walk but I was told she would never walk again . She has gone down hill rapidly since then and has lost the use of her right leg and developed pressure sores on both legs..Her short term memory is non existent. I show her photos of the family and son's dogs even photo's of her horse riding when she was about 62 she cannot remember any of this. She knows who I am but who knows for how much longer. I don't mind sharing this online it is a soul destroying illness which could go on for years. I have told my son if anything like that happened to me no matter what it cost I believe in Euthanasia
