HIGHFIELD LASS ,,,
It's a very long time since we last spoke about people attending the INFANTS school at Highfield ,i am absolutely shocked at the lack of response we have had , I know for a fact that each class had on average close to 40 pupils per class YES 40 !! So when it comes to enquiring about our fellow class-mates i just don't understand the lack of interest.
CAN you tell me H/LASS do you know the year that the school further up from the infants became boys only ? As i said i went to the infants in 1952 Summer . until 1955 ,because we moved from Half-Way -House on Ormskirk Road to a brand new Council Home in August 1954 ,registered at ST.JAME'S ,Poolstock Lane C,E .IN 1958 I left and went to HIGHFIELD SECONDARY MODERN ,, I left there at CHRISTMAS TIME 1962 . My first job was an APPRENTICE BUTCHER. I had a short phase were i was not at HIGHFIELD due to the house move i would say about 18 months . I also appreciate a lot of people don't have nor have had any experience with computer's ,i suppose that could be one reason ,having said that i am still learning to use the new technology too!! So i sincerely hope this will jog someone's brain box ,,I HOPE !! GB.
