Layout looks / looked significantly larger than I had originally pictured , you are in N gauge aren't you ?
Not much happened on Wallgate of recent times, it's taken me about 6 weeks trying to do the roof on Fyffes warehouse so far and even so I have achieved very little.
Unfortunately that seems to be the way at the moment and I'm not sure it's going to get much more productive than currently.
Not done yet though!

AND THEN THE BLOW CAME

I HAD TO START DEMOLISHING

Posted by: priscus (8245) Report abuse
Are you moving home?

Posted by: cindy (5833)   Report abuse
No priscus The layout is in a static caravan 30 ft by 13 ft Its where We go for holidays in the lakes, Without going into to much detail New owners of the site are increasing the site fees so much that People are leaving meaning we have fewer neighbors & where as I can spend time on the layout My Wife has lost a number of Friends Who She could talk to.

Posted by: priscus (8245) Report abuse
Will you be attempting to find somewhere else for it, or is it curtains?

Posted by: cindy (5833)   Report abuse
My Wife has granted Me a reprieve So I have started to rebuild I will put pictures on of the demolition & then the re build shortly.

Posted by: cindy (5833)   Report abuse
As You can see I have knocked through into the next room, This saves Me having to keep crawling under the layout. Again extended layout into another room, also this station was moved & put into the next room .

Posted by: cindy (5833)   Report abuse
Used most of My boards that I had So I know how much more I will need, Will probably use wardrobe doors & whatever  timber I can scavenge.

...You live alone, Cindy?

A disused house, maybe?

Posted by: cindy (5833)   Report abuse
No jarvo Married.

Its in a mobile home 30 x 15.

Hows Your layout coming on.

Posted by: priscus (8245) Report abuse
I need to get one of those.

Would need giant crane to lift it over house, and deposit in back garden.

That would solve my 'store-it-out' needs.

Two of them, and maybe I could start a model.

Here's Where Both tracks go into one via a point & then into the fiddle Yard

Posted by: cindy (5833)   Report abuse

Originally I was building Wigan Central to West-Leigh & Bedford Stations, But due to having to demolish the original layout I decided to use a bit of modelers licence & just build whatever came to mind, I kept the names for the stations the same. The last station will be Bickershaw & Abram.

Posted by: cindy (5833)   Report abuse
As I said before The fiddle yard loops had to be abandoned So the locos now have to be moved from the front of the train turned around & put on the
other end , Each track holds at least 7 coaches plus loco.

Not much progress, Cindy. But hopefully will spend more time up there soon.

I've got my eye on a Bullied Q1 having purchased two Southern carriages at the WMRE in October.

Posted by: cindy (5833)   Report abuse
Hope so jarvo, Have you started Your layout Yet, If so will it be Southern, I Believe Q1 was called the UGLY DUCKLING. Thanks for the interest.

Posted by: jarvo (29633)  Report abuse
Layout well in progress. Just corking the main lines and will soon be tacking down.

Actually, the Q1 will be a visitor; most of my stuff is LMR based.

Another name for the Q1 was a Frankenstein.

Keep up the good work.

Posted by: cindy (5833)   Report abuse
Will Do, Put some photos on so We can see what progress Your making.
