I'm a bit low at the moment.

Lizzie, sounds like your weather is a lot more bearable and certainly good drying weather.
Everything's on clothes dryers inside here, we had a tumble dryer in the workshop outside and we haven't bothered to replace it.
Take care

I'm still going for a "dry" week Mo & Marie, and it's going to be a loooooong one LOL

Well, I got back from the Self Pick fruit & veg shop in Hindley this arvo a little bit down-in-the-dumps and just fancied a walk.
So, well wrapped up and with my i-pod blasting some "Incredible String Band", I walked up to Howfen, (I fancied seeing a bit of summat going on) then along the Cricketer's Way by pass and back through Daisy Hill.

Got back just after 4 o'clock.
I'm a transformed person and feel great.

Susan has just made us a roast chicken dinner with home made carrot & swede mash and brussels sprouts (I love 'em) and Sainsbury's "bought" onion gravy, delish.

Have a lovely evening won't you

A cloudy day here in Blighty, 10C.

Well, what a busy day.
We got a puncture yesterday, so I had to get it fixed at Kwik Fit this morning, so I've had to miss Cardiac Class.
Then I ran Susan into Bolton for her Family History Class.
Then home for a quick lunch and some jobs.
Then back to Bolton to pick Susan up.
Then an hours walk and me tea.
Phew, just settling down for the night now.

"I bet he's succumbed to his little tot"
No, I'm still dry Our Mo, my last night tonight.
It's been a looooooooong week!!!!!!!!

Well done with the words everyone, don't think I can add.

Lizzie, you are very wise to keep off t'internet, Susan got a smart phone and was charged £1 every time there was an update, so she stopped using it as a smartphone, just calls and text now.

Struggling to get the 9 letter, can't help but think it ends in "sive".

Lizzie, I'm sure it's the same in Oz, but people over here "live" on their phones.
They spend their whole day texting and phoning and checking their e-mails and on t'internet, it is totally obsessive.
You feel that in future years normal interaction between humans will cease.
I use my mobile rarely, but it's nice to know it's there for when I need it.
The above are just the ramblings of an old git LOL

speaking to one another..it's very sad,but the art of conversation seems to be vanishing..when I was at School we couldn't wait to tell one another
what we'd done the night before..which lads we liked who our best friends
were etc..I feel sorry for them.

Your "Yorkshires" sound beltin' Mo

We don't have them very often, but they are great if done properly.

I think Yorkshire folk have them as a starter with gravy poured over.
Much prefer them with the roast beef and all the trimmings.
I know you're a a vegetarian Mo,so not sure how you have them, anyroad, enjoy

Posted by: momac (7961)  Report abuse
They came out beautiful Ray..as I say they don't do much for me,but up to
press Cliffs had four I tried one..the rest are in the freezer..I read up that
they can be defrosted and put in a hot oven for five minutes or so and then
ready to eat again..they really rose like mad.I might just have one tomorrow
with potatoes sprouts and gravy and a couple of quorn sausages.

Posted by: raymyjamie (4734) Report abuse
Sound good Mo

We try to have meat alternatives.

We have Chilli Con Carne made with Soy.

Will give Quorn sausages a try sometime

A very good day to everybody
A cloudy here in Blighty, very cool, 5C .
I took my laptop for repair to the Industrial Estate at Lostock near the Reebok Stadium this morning.
The place was crawling with Police.
It seems there was an anti-fracking demonstration on because a company there is supplying equipment/parts to the fracking industry.
Anyroad the place was buzzing with activity and folk and noise.
I ended up having a new DVD Optical drive fitted to my lappy.

Hope everybody is well.

I've just checked my message Inbox Mo and your PM hasn't arrived.

It's normally a very straightforward procedure.

Just click at the top of the fist page where it says "You have no new messages".
Then click on "New PM".
Make sure you enter the correct username of the person you are sending the PM to.
Then type your message and send.

It may be a Forumotion problem, but nobody else has posted about having PM problems.

Since you can't PM, why don't you do an open post to Admin on WR, asking for help/advice?

Well Ray,I think the PMs are okay but I've sent Vince one and not had a
reply yet,but he might have other things to think about so....

Do you know Ray,sometimes I think it's me..because in the past Ive touch things and they've gone haywire,Ive had electric shocks off cookers sewing
machines etc..a lovely neighbour at the time tested them all for me and
he said it was me..when I worked in the Hospital handling anything nylon
used to cause sparks everywhere and the person I was working with then
got a shock off the cot sides that I'd just touched etc..I know it sounds far
fetched but it's a fact and when I've used Cliffs tablet that's gone funny..and
he has no trouble with it...so Ray when you say I'm a notreet you may just
be right.

A big hello to all
A very sunny bright but cold day here in Blighty, 6C.
Usual "big shop" in Leyth this morning.
My laptop is playing up, can't get it to connect to my wi-fi hub, so may have to take it to a repairer this arvo.
To be honest it's 3 years old and it's switched on for over 8 hours a day, so it may just be b*ggered LOL
The annoying thing is I had a new DVD drive fitted last week, so if it has to be replaced then that was a waste of money.
Thankfully we have this fairly new Dell Desktop PC to fall back on.
I think I would buy another laptop as opposed to a tablet as I like the 17" screen size.
Anyroad we shall see.

A cloudy day here in Blighty with a slightly cool breeze, 9C, much better than the cold of late.
A lazy morning then took Susan to the dentist, she had a tiny piece chip off her front tooth, so it's been smoothed over.

This arvo a nice walk round Haigh Hall and a chicken salad tea.
I had serious problems with my lappy yesterday, couldn't get on line.
Took it to a PC repair shop and they told me to uninstall and reinstall McAfee Security software.
We did it last night and it worked phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mo, I ordered that paperback "Look Around the Corner" by Marjery Jolley last week and its arrived this lunchtime, so looking forward to starting it.

A big hello to everybody
A cloudy pleasant day here in Blighty with a slight breeze, 11C coming back from class.
I have taken Susan to her Family History Class in Bowton, and just had a light lunch of oatcakes.

Well done with the words everyone

I have only got:-

lilo-blini and bint, a contemptuous term used to refer to a woman or girl!!!!!!!! , in this day and age, a bit un PC if you ask me.

Mo, I made a start on the Marjery Jolley paperback last night.
I have a very open mind when reading it and will not have any prejudices.
I will look at the book "Through A Door Marked Summer" when I have read this one

Lizzie, It's our affinity with words that keep us on this fantabulous thread of yours
Thanks for our wordage

A big Friday hello to everybody
A cloudy benign day here in Blighty, 10C.
A busy morning cleaning and now thankfully done.
A tin of Baxter's Scotch Broth Soup sounds good for my lunch.

Usual butchers shop this arvo and then get a good brisk walk in wrapped with me i-pod blasting some of my fave music.
Tonight's quiz is in the can and ready for posting.

Just to tell everybody, our daughter Kit is getting married.
I have known for a week or so but couldn't say anything because it wasn't official.
Anyroad, they are now officially engaged.
She is recycling my Mum's engagement ring which is 18 carat gold and had three diamonds.
We will pay for the cleaning and replacement of one of the stones and it will be a nice way of remembering "Our Alice".

Well done with the words Marie.

Me and Susan are soooooo excited Mo.
We thought she was a confirmed spinster, but she has met and fallen in love with the most lovely lad who has made her so happy.
Will keep you informed of developments

Mo, we have started having two vegetarian evening meals a week.

We have a pasta and 7 vegetable tomato sauce "a la Jamie Oliver" on Sunday and a Chilli Con Carne made with soy on Thursday.

So maybe the best time to have Quorn sausage would be as a breakfast dish.
I am told that quorn is fairly bland and adopts the flavours around it.
I think it would go well with baked beans.

Vince..I've tried just about everything but don't know what to do next..Ray

Posted by: raymyjamie (4734) Report abuse
We chose to use soy as opposed to quorn for the simple reason that that soy is vegetable based ie soya bean and quorn is essentially a fungus.
We definitely WILL give it a try in the future Mo

I'll have to try soy Ray.

More importantly, I had to retype the entire quiz from scratch and did it with minutes to spare.

My laptop is playing up again.
We've reinstalled Windows 10 this morning.
I've lost Word, Adobe Acrobat, McAfee and other stuff which we will have to reinstall.

Mo, I bought some quorn sausages on Saturday and had them for my breakfast on Sunday morning, they were delish.
I don't eat sausage normally because it's processed meat, so this is a way of having sausage without the health worries, well pleased

Hello all all ,it was lovely this A.M.but now it's a bit wild..think I'll go back to

Baking bread to keep me out of trouble get fresh yeast free from Asda
dried yeast never seems so good.

Ray,I'm so glad you enjoyed your Quorn sausage..boiled chopped onions
mixed with gravy poured over mash and any veg you prefer is delish..I
looked for Soy this morning in Asda but couldn't find any..as you say it's the
healthier alternative..especially what I read the other day,but I won't go
there for the sake of anyone that enjoys their beef....but will carry on
looking for Soy..so I can compare it.

I only have four left..salsa,salic,calla,calls.

Only Marie left now..

Thank you our Lizzie,30C..phew..that is warm...and how nice to have a

been out all day. Well done everyone. Well try harder tomorrow. Maureen, where do you get those quorn sausage from and did you say you fry them and for how long. I must be a gashhawk.

Posted by: momac (7961)  Report abuse
Marie..I get mine from Asda, from the very last freezer aisle, the one nearer
to the last till.I tried grilling them at first but it didn't suit them,so yes l fried
them in just a smattering of cooking oil..only need about ten to fifteen mins.
There's also Quorn ham, mince, chicken roll, the other day we tried chicken
and bacon lattice ,but there's quite a few calories in those,.going back
twelve months or so there was only a tiny percent of Quorn in the end
freezer but now it's expanding which means more and more people are
turning to it....p.s. Marie..what is a gashhawk,it's a new one on me.
P.S. Those bacon and Lattice slices were gorgeous.

A big hello to all
A cloudy damp day here in Blighty very cold at 5C.

Well we're in a right pickle here.
Our outside drains were blocked on Saturday, there was "stuff" all over the back garden, yuk.
We got a local drain company out on Sunday morning and they spent 2 hours mawlin' about and cleared it.
This morning we have the same problem returned, so they didn't fix it.
We are awaiting a phone call when they can come.
Not very happy.

Our Mo will get some more
I suspect Vince is travelling.
Well done to Marie

Lizzie, enjoy your heat.
At least you can escape it with the air con and enjoy the cooler ends of the day.
We are set for a cold week and into the weekend.
Let's hope this is the last blast of Winter.
Thanks as ever

Hello all..Ray,we had that problem when we were in Warrington Lane some
years ago..the 'stuff'was even coming up out of the loo as well as outside.
like you had ..we borrowed some rods from a garage facing us..Cliff tried to do it himself but of course had to get someone out..it was a terraced house
and the girl next door was blocking the drains by flushing nappies down..

Hope everybody is well
We are doing our Tuesday shop this arvo because yesterday disrupted our routine.

A good Friday to all
A cloudy day here in Blighty, 10C.
Hope every body is well

Well what a morning.
Yours truly was hoovering the front bedroom, which I’m decorating, albeit slowly, when I knock over a tin of emulsion paint.
Normally you can’t get the lids off, but this one came off and I’ve a big pool of paint on the carpet.
We mop up what we can and I get the carpet shampooer out which made it worse by spreading the paint even further.
In the end I give up and take the carpet cleaner to the bathroom to clean up.
On the way I manage to get more paint all over landing carpet.
I have to say this is a really good advert for Dulux paints, because a little really does go a long way!!!!!!!!!!!!, I would do a LOL but I could skrike.
Anyroad new carpets required when I finally finish the room.

Mo, I will no longer call you a notreet!!!!!!!!! Lol

Hello all..well Ray..what are you like?? I think you've played out everyone's
nightmare..I know this tip won't help with the amount that's been spilled, but
if there's small amounts anywhere on hands clothes etc use
Windowlene or cooking oil,but windowlene is best.
Just thinking Ray..you said emulsion not gloss paint didn't you..in future if
you spill any emulsion if you act quick enough it will come off with just warm
water, but must be done straight away.

Mo, Just finished me downstairs floors which I couldn’t do yesterday through mopping up paint !!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your concern Mo.
The quiz nearly finished me off last night.
It’s a very intense hour that I have to endure, with the added “unfamiliarity” of the new format and I had to keep increasing and decreasing text sizes for each post.
I’ve got new glasses arriving next week, so hopefully that will improve things.
Thankfully I did get to sleep, which surprised me after such a stressful day.

Admin and Mac are working on the site so we’ll see if they can “fine tune” it.

Good to see that Vince is part way home, here’s to wish him a safe journey to Spain.

Hope you and the family are well.
We will have a free week next week, so I’ll use my lunchtime to look for our next holiday.

Nothing to stop us popping on for a chat next week is there?

Posted by: MarieM (4625) Report abuse
Maureen, what do you mean.

Posted by: raymyjamie (4734) Report abuse
Hiya Mo.
Soz, but I didn’t come on WW yesterday thinking there wouldn’t be any or much posting going on, hence my late reply.

If you go to “You have no new messages” on your “Home Page”, up at the top right you will see “Notifications”, click on it.

It will tell you what type of notifications you may get.
These are listed as :-

Friend requests
The incoming of of a private message.
The incoming of a profile message.
A new post in a watched topic.
A request to join a group.
Connection of a friend to the forum.
Your username tagged on a topic.

Basically every time you communicate or interact you get a “Notification”.

If you click on “Notification” it will give you the option to “List notifications”’
It will list all the notification types.
Once listed you can “Delete All”.

I have just listed mine and had 101 notifications, they were all private messages.
I have deleted them all.
To be honest, just doing a private message is about the only thing I use so I wouldn’t worry too much about it

Maybe from time to time do a “ Delete All”.

Hope this helps.

I’m in the garden this morning, so will pop back on at lunchtime

Posted by: momac (7961)  Report abuse
Ray,the times I've clicked on notifications is unreal and it shows nothing at
all..Ill just forget. for now Ray.

Posted by: raymyjamie (4734) Report abuse
Hiya Mo.

I was just about to reply to your 11-48 post when I saw your last post.
So glad it's sorted.
I would delete all notifications if I were you, and on a regular basis, check for them and delete.
I don't use all the functionality of the site.
I peep and post and send the odd PM, a simple soul really LOL

Just had a tuna salad lunch and having a herbal tea.
This arvo we will go to our Kits with her butcher's order, then we're having a lazy afternoon as it's Hindley History Society meeting tonight, always enjoy it.

I mentioned I was in the garden this morning (not my favourite place LOL ), but I wasn't gardening.

Our "Drain" saga continues.
Two Sunday ago we paid £130, cash in hand, to a local drain company.
On the Tuesday it was blocked again.
They came back and charged us £65 + VAT for an hours work and said the blockage was under the pavement and it was United Futilities responsibility.
Unitited Futilities came on the following Sunday and discovered a hidden manhole on our land which was clogged with tree roots.
So that's what I was doing this morning, digging down to find this manhole.
U/U used a hi-tech machine, a little like geo-phys on "Time Team", very impressed.
As we have good flow at the moment I don't feel there is an immediate urgency.
My dilemma is, do I use the original local company, Bolton Drain Co, or find a new firm.
These things are sent to try us.

I have been following your stories on "Wigan and the Paranormal" thread, absolutely fascinating.

Hope you and the family are well Mo.

Posted by: momac (7961)  Report abuse
Thanks for replying Ray..I have like you said deleted them all.As for your
drains,I would say it was U/U responsibility..and you shouldn't be charged
again....good luck with whichever you choose.

Glad you've been enjoying my stories Ray..all true..after my died we were
doing our usual visit to my Mams, she lived in a cul-de sac in Beech Hill.
As we were getting to the three point turn bit at the top (my Mams was
there)I l glanced at her window before we turned round to go back down..
And I saw my dads dark rimmed glasses just like he would be sitting in his
favourite chair..true again,why I see these things I just don't know...as you
say Ray...I'm a notreet ha ha ....love to you and yours.

Marie and Vince,we were driving past St Joseph's this morning and I saw
the right hand door was open..it had actually had the lock ripped off..I
wanted to look inside so we parked the car and went in ,how sad...
everything was ripped out rubble everywhere..plus pigeons coming in
through holes in the roof..we stood on that much pigeon droppings that we
had to take our shoes off at our front door and soak them in water..but I'm
glad I went in for the very last time.I could have just stood there and cried...
aww....the memories all came flooding back...some beautiful and some sad.

Posted by: MarieM (4625) Report abuse

A big bright sunny day to all, 13C here in Blighty.

Mo, that is most upsetting to see a once beautiful building fall into disrepair and ruin.
We go to "Go Outdoors" quite regularly and I always have a look at it.
You can imagine in the future it being knocked down for redevelopment, which is sad.
I assume it's still owned by the Church.

Hope every body is well.

I have spent the morning digging in the garden and have managed to dig down to the top of the metal manhole cover.
I have still not uncovered the whole area of it but it is a major breakthrough.
I think I will have more aches and pains in the morning LOL

This arvo, a drive up to Rivvy and do what we call "The Woodland Walk".
Not a big walk, maybe 45mins, but long enough after my morning's exertions.

The weather is perfect today, hope you all have a lovely day.

A big Monday hello to all
Yet another bl**dy cool, wet, miserable day here in Blighty, absolutely unbelievable wet spell we're having, I could skrike!!!!!!!!!!

I decided to do some indoor jobs with being rained off. so I re- grouted the tiles in
our en-suite shower, so a morning well spent.

Mo I confess to never having heard of Monty Roberts, so I Googled him (as you do).
I don't fully understand the exact "mechanics" of what he does. but he does seem to have a remarkable affinity with horses.
I know with your love of animals you had a great day.

I assume Vince is in Waterlooville for a while, so I hope he joins in.
I think Marie is away this week.
Our Mo will do her stuff.

groundhog-ground-gong-grog-hung-hound-undo-round.

There's loads more, there is a very low word count today.

Lizzie, how nice to be back to normal.
Hope you had a great break, always nice to get away from the humdrum.
You must post some piccies, as I 'm sure you've taken loads, we would love to see them.
Thanks for "Day One" of our words

Hello all, first of all welcome back our Lizzie..so glad you had a nice break,it re charges your batteries doesn't it...we've missed you..

Off we go,rondo,round,rung,dung,drongo,hung,horn,hound,goon,ground,
gorgon.undo.

I'm afraid that's all I have..Ray will have more,but don't know if Vince is
playing or not..he's our wandering minstrel.

Thanks once more our Lizzie..I won't say we've missed you again..but we
have. xx

Ray,were off again, posting at the same time..

Monty Roberts Ray used to watch his. Dad breaking in horses very brutally
he was also cruel with Monty, beatings etc.
He would go out to watch the wild mustangs near to their farm...and noticed
that if one of the youngsters started to play up,his Mum the mare would
send him out away from her but she could still see him..he the starts to feel
very vulnerable and starts chomping with his mouth...when she sees this
she goes out to him...then turns her back on him...but tells him to follow
her..all is forgiven...and that is exactly what Monty does only a lot more
he's trained some of the queens horses ,and racing horses all the same
way..with no cruelty involved like his Dad and hundreds of others..horses
are beautiful creatures and should be treated with respect like all animals.

Don't I go on Ray..

Posted by: raymyjamie (4734) Report abuse
No you do not Mo, that was extremely interesting and explained it more clearly than the article I read earlier.
I like the idea of non violent training also.
I think in these modern times we lose sight and contact with the natural world as we live our insular sanitised lives.
It does you good to get in touch with other worldly things.
Glad you got to meet Monty also.

A big Midweek Hello to everybody
Another bl**dy miserable cold wet cloudy day here in Blighty, 7C.
A busy morning grouting the en-suite, a much better place to be than outside.
I've had the CD player on singing along and the morning passed pleasantly, with a nice sense of achievement at the end.
A leisurely lunch of oatcakes and an apple and now doing the words.
We're off to Bents Garden Centre this arvo, always a good venue when it;'s wet.

I bet Our Mo is staying in today, it really is like Winter is hanging on with it's fingertips.

Hope you are all well

A very good day to everybody
A bright sunny cloudy day here in Blighty, 13C on the way back from Bowton this arvo, but feeling much colder in the biting wind.
Hope every body is well

As you have all commented, the most dreadful news in London yesterday.
The best thing was Parliament returning to normal straight away this morning, sticking a metaphorical “two fingers” up to the terrorists.
Can’t help but feel that if the Police Officer who died had been armed, he would be alive today.

Blimey Mo, you have done well to have the car that long, but Japanese cars are known for their reliability.
I hope the re-spray puts new life into it.
Our Skoda Yeti will have to last us for the foreseeable future.
Glad you enjoyed the “Cryptics”, you’re a natural at them

Hope you can pop on Vince.

Lizzie, I’m very glad that Australia is free of the troubles that Europe is facing against the tide of Islam.
I think the Australian Government have got it spot on, zero tolerance to immigration.
Sorry to make our friendly little gathering political, but sometimes you need to say what you feel.
Thanks for the effort you go to for us notreets LOL

A very good Friday to you all
A bright sunny almost cloudless day here in Blighty, 11C so far this morning.
Because it’s such a nice day I’ve been back to digging my drains this morning.
I’m trying to uncover a manhole which is about 40cm (16”) below ground.
I’ve actually dug down to the steel manhole cover, but it’s proving to be big structure and I’ve not fully uncovered it all.
I wish I was 30 years younger, it would’ve been done by now.
On the plus side, it’s proving to be a good cardio workout LOL

Our Mo will be pleased with the weekend weather forecast, the Northwest of England is the warmest place on Saturday.
High pressure in charge and a sunny 17C.

Hope you can pop on Vince, it’s an absolute bummer having no internet.

Lizzie, you’re absolutely right, there is something reassuring about a Police presence.
We have been promised more Police on the streets, that said I think it will be mainly in the big cities, although some body posted about a police Officer being stationed outside Wallgate Station.
The terrorist attack is still major news here, the BBC are having a field day.
It’s being reported virtually non stop 24 hours on the separate News Channel.
On a lighter note, hope you had a nice day out with your Sis and thankfully they didn’t “do” you for being drink and drugged up!!!!!!!!! LOL
Thanks for our Friday wordage

not staying..no I'm not says I,it's too cold yet"is it me who's soft or what..
he's still sat out there..it must be me

Well Ray,you deserve a medal with all that digging...just watch your back.

Bet Vince is enjoying his day out.

have to rethink the whole system..

A big Saturday Hello to everybody
A lovely sunny bright cloudless day here in Blighty, 15C or maybe higher forecast.

Against my body's advice, I have spent the morning digging down, and finally reached the pay load, "The Holy Manhole"!!!!!! LOL
I've trimmed away loads of roots, non of which were going directly into the manhole, so we are not spending any more money on drain companies.
I'll make a little "chamber" of upturned flags and cap it.
That means if we have any future problems there'll be no more digging.
Anyroad, a successful morning's labour.

Hope you are all well
Well done to Marie, good to have you back, hope a nice break was had.
Mo. I don't know if you've been on WR this morning but Mac has been able to enlarge the text in the posting box.
This means that in theory I should be able to mark the quiz more easily.
My problem is, I've enjoyed the break from the intensity and pressure of marking.

A big Monday Hello to all
Another lovely sunny bright cloudless day here in Blighty, 12C forecast
Hope you've all had a good weekend

Spent the morning measuring my excavations and looking for solutions to make an inspection chamber and cover.
I have loads of bricks in the back garden (left over from a front extension we did many years ago), so it makes sense to use those and cap it with some checker plate.
I've also ordered a super dooper all-singing-all-dancing 4 wheel garden cart, for transporting stuff.

Of up Rivvy this arvo.

I'm sure our Mo's enjoying this nice spell of weather, I have to say though, it was a trifle cool in the garden this morning.

A cloudy miserable damp day here in Blighty, 12C.

I finished it off in the garage and thankfully it looks like a perfectly ideal size.
I think it looked wrong and oversized in the house, anyroad I’m made up.

Mo, glad you liked my “obituary” thread LOL
The only thing that is true on it is the opening sentence about “I was out walking and musing as I do every day and thought………”
I DO go out walking and thinking, and I had that germ of an idea in my head.

A very good day to all
A cloudy showery day here in Blighty with the odd bit of sun, 17C in Bowton this arvo.

A busy day is Thursday, I seem to spend most of the day driving, I do 3 X 50 minute round trips.

You were absolutely right Mo, I was determined to get at least one or two more words, but I have been stimied, LOL
Anyroad, well done all.
Have a safe trip Vince.

Lizzie, your weather seems to be all over the shop, blimey.
Anyroad, you enjoy the joys of Autumn, along with Spring they’re my favourite times of the year.
Big thanks with the wordage, I will try to do better tomorrow, honest LOL

A very good Friday to all
A lovely bright sunny cloudy day here in Blighty, 15C forecast.

A busy morning wiring in (or not) a new power switch for our en-suite shower.
I took photos on my i-pod of all the coloured connections, then went on line to check if I’d bought the correct size wattage switch.

Then took the front off the shower unit to check the wattage of the shower unit and confirm what circuit breaker size Mira recommend and then it was lunchtime LOL .
Such are the problems of procrastination, I should have just “gone for it”.

Mo, this is a lovely day for you to be out in the garden, come on, get them seeds in

Blinkered-blinked-blind-blend-bend-bird-linked-rekindle-reined-reed-kind-kinder-drink-dirk-deer-eider-elder-need.

There are “millions” of more words LOL for Mo, and hopefully Marie.

Lizzie, you look after us notreets, and no, I don’t feel under any pressure on a daily basis to do the words, it’s a pleasure.
But obviously some days it is more difficult to come on at a specific time, in my case lunchtime (BST), and it may be some days you just cannot find time to post (very rare I have say).

A good day out with Sis was had, well done you
Fascinating reading about Kapunda and Map Kernow, “The Son of Cornwall”, most interesting.
Thanks for our Friday wordage as ever, take care

Hello all..after the rain early this AM,it's now very sunny and warm..lovely,

I hope Vince and his Mrs have a safe journey too..have been trying to get
through to his Sister, but morphine is knocking her out most days.

Every year I also save seeds from the plants I have and put them away...oh
yes I put them away alright..I can't find the blasted things...pardon my
French....

Ta our Lizzie..I would love to be able to visit that town and go in the Hotel,
did you go on the tour and into the Hotel..also did you take any photos..I'm
going to read more about it all later on..it looks very atmospheric..xx

Well done Ray and Mo. Been to Bolton today.
Hope Vince has a safe journey.
Thanks Lizzie for your trouble. It's what we need as well as Ray's quiz.
I can't get any more even though you can get 53 words from this. I can't believe that.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Good morning everyone 💜..our Maureen...I did not have the inclination to take any photos in Kapunda ...it was the most uncomfortable place I have been...I distinctly had the feeling of being an outsider...even though the Cafe people where we ate were very friendly...there had been no redevelopment in the town...everything seemed to be kind of left alone...whereas in other country towns things are on the move as far as new buildings etc....very weird indeed....anyway I am glad you and Ray found it interesting....last one for the week...and well done with all your words everyone....😊👍

A very good Saturday to all
A damp cloudy day here in Blighty, 13C forecast.

Hope everybody is well.

I managed to get my first mow of the lawns yesterday, looks a lot better.
I don’t enjoy mowing, but the end result is worth it.
We have plans to make gardening easier for me this year.
We are going to completely pave the rear and side garden, therefore saving me a load of mowing.
The rear and side garden will have all the hedges dug up and replaced with high fences, saving me the trimming.
Bring it on.

Today, a lazy morning doing nowt but peeping and posting on WR.

cold-coil-hood-hooch-idol-loci.

Well done Marie, I’ve hopefully left some for Our Mo.
Did you get your seeds in Mo?
Have a great weekend
Safe travels Vince

Lizzie, Blimey, another week gone!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s amazing what you can pack into seven days isn’t it?
Enjoy your weekend and hope to see you on Monday morning our time.
Take care, you’re a shiny Aussie Star

Hello all..Mr sunshine is showing his face,

Ray..our back garden lawn was always waterlogged so Cliff
flagged it all,and its great..all you need is a power washer
on it twice a year and a good pair of wellies.

I bet you were ready to relax after last quiz too.

Just have a couple left..cohosh,holi,loch,olio,dildo,(blushing
)

Thank you our lizzie,if ever I win the Lottery Im coming to visit Kapunda.Id love to see that.xx

I hope everybody has a lovely weekend..and the sun shines on you all.

Soz Mo, only just seen your post.

Afternoon up Rivvy and just had our Salmon tea.

We were going to downsize, but I can see us being here for the forseeable future, so we need to make the garden manageable, hence the paving.
I like the idea of only needing the occasional pressure wash.

As for last night’s quiz, it nearly saw me off!!!!!!! (and yes, I DID have a drink after )
Apart from it being well viewed, all the posts arrived in a big pile around the 8-20 to 8-30 time.
Then I messed up the marking by not C & P’ing the “tick correctly.
I had to revisit some of the posts.
There are up to 37 answers per post, that’s hundreds of answers.

Well the good news is, I won’t be marking in future, which makes my Friday easier.
It seems the quiz is the victim of its own success. I shouldn’t complain, should I?
Take care and have a good weekend

Posted by: momac (7961)  Report abuse
That's it Ray,just put the answers on at the end of the evening at your own
leisure..don't make a rod for your own back..and yes..you are a victim of
your own success

Have just finished our Prawn salad folllowed by a yoghurt..but think I'm
going lay off the yogs though, too much sugar in.

Have a nice weekend..
