A very good Monday to all.
A bright sunny, but cool day here in Blighty, 11C this morning.
A busy morning here at RMJ Towers.
We donated our old pine bed to The British Heart Foundation, so they came and picked it up this morning.
We have the new Oak Furniture Land bed and tall boy now, but they make you dispose of all the cardboard and polystyrene which is a right pain, anyroad, I took it to the tip at Little Hulton, so we're tidy now.

Well done to Marie for starting us off.

Are you having a busy day Mo?
Hope all is well with Vince.

judicial-lurid-lucid-acid-acrid-arid.

A reasonable word count so hope I've left some for brainbox Mo.

Lizzie, Hi, welcome back from your break.
Hope you had a good time.
Not sure if you've put piccies up of your trip, will pop on later to have a look.
Thanks for our Monday wordage.

Yes Marie,it is a problem,I think most people who've retired are the same..
the trouble is getting back to sleep when the brain doesn't want to slow
down..I lay awake this morning still coughing and wondering about the
sedation on Friday when I'm supposed to have for Colonoscopy, anyway I've just rung RAEI and they were very good and efficient and agreed that
I should leave it for a week or so and my new appointment is in a couple of
weeks.

I have to say our bedroom with all the new oak furniture is looking rather posh.

Sorry you’re not well Mo, hope you’re on the mend soon.

A big Hello to all.
Another cloudy bright and cool day here in Blighty, 11C going to class this morning.
We have a new instructor for class, a young girl full of energy and enthusiasm, and boy does she work us hard.
This arvo a trip to Wigan for a mooch, always a pleasant afternoon.

Hope your cold is improving Mo, it's horrible being unwell isn't it?
Well done to Marie for starting us off.

something-song-singe-smog-thing-egotism-eight-emoting-gite-gismo-ghost-hinge-might.

Lizzie, I forgot to mention that while you were away we were having a walk up the L & L canal from Rose Bridge and a couple in their fifties I would say, stopped us to ask about the canal.
It turns out the bloke was originally from Ashton but had emigrated to Oz in 1985, his wife was Australian and they were over here because his Mum had died and they were having few weeks holiday after the funeral.
The lady in particular was amazed at the canals construction, especially as there are 21 locks from Wigan Pier up to Top Lock.
They had been to Wigan Pier a few days before.
He had a funny mixed accent, about 80% Australian with just the odd bit of Wigan with it, LOL, I suspect you are pure Oz aren't you?
Anyroad we had a good chat.

A big Hello to all.
A cloudy coolish day here in Blighty, 11C,
The usual last minute decision to go to the Trafford Centre.
Just got back, we didn’t stay too long, it was full of kids.
It seems the half term is different to each area of Greater Manchester.
We got our Kit a ‘Happy New Home’ card, they are moving house this coming Monday.
Her new husband Chris has is own end terrace house in Connah’s Quay which they have been doing up.
They are currently renting, so when they move they will be saving themselves a whopping £520 a month.

A big Hello to all.
A bright cloudy coolish day here in Blighty, 10C going to class this morning.
Thursday is a busy day for yours truly, just got back from Picking Susan up in Bolton.
I’m on ‘tea’ duty tonight so just having a quick brew before I start.
It’s beef casserole, cabbage and mash.

Sorry to hear you and Cliff are still not well Mo, it sounds like you’ve had a serous bit of a virus, I hope the medication helps soon.

It seems my blood test is a bit of a mixed bag.
My cholesterol and sugar are normal as is my kidney and liver (LOL) function, but there is a problem with my blood count.
The doctor is going to ring me on Friday morning to discuss it.
The practice nurse said not to worry, if it was serious they would have contacted me straight away, it still doesn’t stop you worrying thought does it?
I have lost quite a bit of weight recently and am down to 9 stone 9lbs in old money (61Kg), the nurse said I was underweight and if I caught a virus my body couldn’t fight it.
I seem to have lost my appetite and am skipping lunch and also not enjoying my evening meal as I usually do.
Susan thinks I may be anaemic.

Just back from Bowton and a busy day travelling.

Well done to Mo with the words, you got a ponful!!!!!!! LOL
Sounds like a good day out was had.
What a great way to celebrate your anniversary with a nice meal.
I took your advice Mo and bought myself 4 cans of draught Guinness from Sainsies on Tuesday.
I had one with my tea last night, I found it relaxed me and helped me enjoy my food, so apart from the iron, I also got some much needed calories as well.
I managed a couple of oatcakes at lunchtime.
We’re having a lazy ready meal for tea, braised steak and mash with cabbage.

Ray,I'm so glad that it made you relax, and let you enjoy your food.
When I was a youngster my little Irish Grandma gave me a big cream jug
with Irish lace cover,I'd go just under Wallgate bridge to the pub, where it
would be filled, back home at my Grandmas she would give me a cup of
half milk and half Guinness,I had that two or three times a week.

Then when I had my Daughter in Billinge.,they used to bring each new
Mum a small bottle of Guinness...well...the Mums at either side of me did
not like it..so guess what I had threes bottles a day. for fourteen days.I still
love the stuff..keep on enjoying it Ray,it'll do you nothing but good.

Believe it or not Mo, I used my entire 10 minute session with the doc discussing my 'sleep' problem and forgot to ask about my blood test How embarrassing!!!!!!!! LOL

I will ask for a new appointment.

Ray,won't they give you the results over the phone..that's what they
normally do,or is it a different matter altogether..anyway,was he any help
with your sleep problem or am I being too nosy.

Not at all Mo.
It was a lady doctor, who was very understanding and supportive.
She has given me something to help with my sleep, but not sleeping tablets, nuff said.
Also she said the medication will help with my current 'eating' problem by improving my appetite.
I have bought 10 x 440 ml cans of Draught Guinness for £10 at Sainsies today, so will have one with my 'tea' every day.

A cloudy dull awful day here in Blighty, 5C and bitterly cold.
I fell asleep again this morning!!!!!!! LOL
I managed to eat a corned beef sarnie for lunch, so a little bit of improvement on the eating front.
Then I fell asleep again after lunch, hence my late post.
We’ve been to Tesco this arvo. It was too cold for a walk.

Hope you and Cliff are improving Mo.
Well done to Marie and Mo for starting us off.

A very big Friday Hello to all.
Another cloudy cold day here in Blighty, 6C
A busy morning cleaning.
I racked some wine this lunchtime hence the late posting
I was going to suggest walking up to the butchers this arvo, to get some exercise, but it’s not very nice outside, as you say Mo it’s not half cowd.

Well done to Marie and Mo for starting us off.

I hope you don’t mind Mo, I did my words before we set off for the butchers, but I didn’t have time to post, and I really can’t be fussed with sorting through my words from yours, so apologies.

I am not improving healthwise Mo,, I had an awful evening and night last night.
I was nauseous, feverish and my hands and arms were uncontrollably shaky.
I had a night off the ‘pop’ last night, tonight might be hard because I’m very often a little ‘wired’ with the quiz.

Thanks for your concern Mo, I really am only running on two cylinders today, I’m frightened to eat because of the nausea, so I’m in a downward spiral.
I did think of my medication, but I’ve been taking my ‘heart’ pills for years.
I have just finished and now restarted again some thing to help me sleep.
I’ll check the small print.
I’ll monitor myself this next few hours, if I’m not up to it I’ll maybe ask Admin or Weatherwax to step in.

A horrible cloudy dull damp day here in Blighty this morning, 11C forecast.
A lazy morning doing nowt, I fell asleep yet again!!!!!!!! LOL
It was too wet for a walk so we had a mooch round Sainsies in Leyth this arvo.
I struggled to eat my fresh salmon salad tonight, but a glass of Merlot seemed to settle me down LOL !!!!!

Mo, when Susan was painting, she got her art supplies from Ken Bromleys.
They are located on Crown Lane Horwich near to Blackrod Station, very good to deal with and discounted prices.

Very well done with the words.
Have a great weekend everybody.

Lizzie, did a Google of The Flinders Ranges, what a fabulous place to explore.

Very well done to Marie, for starting us off, you got the 9 letter too.
A high word count today, so hopefully I’ve left loads for Our Mo.

Lizzie, just having a laugh to myself re your post about Google Plus, you might as well be talking in Serbo Croat LOL!!!!!!!
I’m not a bad computer user, but posting photos ‘n’ stuff eludes me.
Big thanks for our midweek wordage.

Forgot to say, I have my lunch in our little ‘office’ which we have.
I put my laptop on the desk with my lunch.
The office ‘Mastermind’ type chair was slightly under the desk, so while sitting on it I pushed it backwards.
The wheels of the chair snagged on the laptop mpower cored and brought my lappy crashing to the floor followed by my butty.
There was bread, chicken, mustard and mayo all down me cardie and all over the carpet LOL !!!!!!
Thankfully it was my old lappy, but unbelievably it was still working, so after a clean up and a new sarnie I was back to normal.

Off to Wigan now, take care.

A very big Hello to everybody.
A pleasant bright sunny cloudy day here in Blighty, 6C forecast, but feels much much colder!!!!
Well, I is 72 years young today.
I missed class this morning.
After a hearty breakfast of Heinz ‘No Added Sugar’ Beans on two thick slices of wholemeal toast, I went for a brisk 45 minute walk with my i-pod blasting out some Steeleye Span, and feel really good at the moment.
Just found time to do the words between our usual busy routine back and forth from Bowton.

Mo, thanks ever so for your PM on WR and your lovely comments.
I figured it was probably your youngest that had messaged you as I know you enjoy the cryptics and wouldn’t miss on purpose, so no worries.

inhumanly-human-inhuman-mainly-main-manly-unmalny-alumni.

I bet Marie is on a jolliday, have a good day out Marie.
A lowish word count today, so hopefully I’ve left loads for Our Mo.

Lizzie, hope your weather is behaving and that you’re surviving the heat.
Did you get any bargains yesterday!!!!! LOL
Thanks for our Thursday wordage.

Hello all,well..Happy Birthday Ray another Sagittarius..nearly everybody
I know is a Sagittarius and very nice folk they are too.
We watch Noel Fitzpatrick the brilliant Vet,and it's his Birthday today too
I'm so glad you're feeling a bit better AND had a good breakfast.

Just a couple left,many,mynah,lain,lumin,nail,inlay,hymn,annul,anil.

Ray,just as an aside,my stomach doesn't like the tomato juice in beans,so I
decided to fight one acid with another and put vinegar on my beans,it
worked..and I love the taste..

Wonder where our Marie is?

Thanks our Lizzie, I really don't know what we'd do without you xx💜

Sorry I couldn't do the words today. Well done Ray and Maureen.

Happy birthday Ray and I am glad you are feeling better. I am a Sagitarrian also.

Maureen, I have been to that Art Exhibition today at the Old Courts. She said it's been so successful they will be having another before long. Why don't you enquire. They were all for sale.

Best wishes everyone.

Mo, it sound very unusual to add vinegar to beans, but if it means you can eat them then that's brill.

I do what I call my 'special' beans.
I use the Heinz 'No Added Sugar' tins.
I loosen the sauce with some hot water, then add tomato puree, chilli powder and about a half teaspoon of paprika, plus salt and pepper.
Three minutes in the microwave and jobs a good 'un, deelish.

A very big Hello to everybody.
A pleasant bright sunny day here in Blighty, 4C forecast brrrrr!!!!!!!!!!
A busy morning cleaning.
I’m going to try and manage a chicken sarnie for lunch, see how it goes.
We were going to go to the Old Courts this arvo, but a combination of a busy mornings work and when we went to Wigan on Wednesday the traffic was awful, so we’re having a local walk instead.

Mo, it would be brill if you could put your paintings on show at the Old Courts.

A very big Saturday Hello to everybody.
A dull cloudy freezing cold day here in Blighty, 2C forecast, blimey O ‘Riley!!!!!!
A lazy morning partly asleep.
I’ve managed ‘special’ beans on toast for breakfast and a single chicken sarnie for lunch, so very pleased.
It’s too cold for walking so we’re just having a trip to Mozzers at Ince for some bits and bobs.
Bolton Wanderers are at home to Leeds today, they have had dreadful home results of late, so fingers crossed.
Telly and a few scoops later, beltin’.

Are you having a busy day Mo?

carol-corral-royal-oral-orally-loyal-cool-ally-alloy.

Well done to Marie for starting us off.
A middlish word count today, so hopefully I’ve left loads for Our Mo.

Have a lovely weekend Mo and Marie.

Lizzie, good to see you’ve got your flags flying.
Yes, I think we are ready for a new thread, it’s not too bad on a lappy using the scroll function on a mouse, but would imagine it’s hard work on a tablet having to swipe with your finger.
Thank you for looking after us notreets through the week.
Have a great weekend and ‘see’ you Monday.
