Bought a 2.5kg bag of spuds from the supermarket at £1.95 per bag(maris-piper),went for a ride throu Parbold farms selling 25kg bag for £4.Who says supermarkets are cheap

Always better to buy from the farms, some allotment associations sell produce too, although often later on in the year.

The potatoes you saw for £4 would have been from the last harvest. Nothing wrong with that though - potatoes and carrots store for very long periods and onions can store for over 12 months. Supermarkets are robbing us blind.
