At 9-40 this morning a car and bus collided at the junction of Bolton Road and Barrow Street Ashton .At 12-35 the car was still stuck in the middle of the road and the police had just turned up. Why have we no police available for 3hours Some one with a winch on their vehicle now pulling the car to the side of the snooker club to clear the road

When I went past, the 320 bus was on the wrong side of the road and a woman, what we thought was the driver of the car, was stood in the road, with her car, using her phone.

We couldn't weigh up how it'd happened!

And why did it take so long for the police to attend when the police station is only a quarter of a mile away?

Maybe they were all deployed elsewhere!!!!! and not waiting to be called as and when, maybe no one called them -each thinking the other had done so!!!!

I was speaking to the bus driver and his version was the car was parked up at the front of the snooker club.Has he was starting to overtake the car the driver of the car pulled away from the kerb and the car was hit by the outer edge of the front bumper and side of the bus. He pulled up on the wrong side of the road at the front of Bartons car park. The car was damaged on the front wing and door also the steering was damaged leaving the car stuck in the middle of the road
