Bought some couple of days back. Normally my favourite apple.
BAh... I had failed to read the small print. They were New Zealand grown.
They were absolutely horrible, and in spite of thorough washing, could not get rid of the metallic flavour on the skin: I guess residue from insecticide which has been sprayed upon the fruit.
Why on earth do we import these from the other side of the world, when we grow the best examples of the variety in our own country, and we are grubbing up our orchards.

Even peeled, flavour is unpleasant!
So binned them.
One more thing I will not be buying again!
