The life giver starts her rise to full glory, without her warm embrace we are nothing.

The strawberry plants are very sensitive to the dark:light ratio.

They will really take off now, and be fruiting in less than six weeks. Yummy.

Always a few try to fruit during these exceedingly mild winters which we have experienced. Have to remove blossoms on them, or they just rot.

And we start our wet retreat to slumber

I just wish it would dry out a bit. Am desperate to get on with pruning my roses. (Purple spot, so they need a therapeutic prune.)

But it is just too wet underfoot to walk on the soil, which just clings to soles.
