Britboy - a warning
Custard has been shown to be highly addictive, and is suspected of being a gateway drug leading inexorably to excessive consumption of eggs, milk, and the deadly white powder, sugar.

Noooooo....the original powder or nothing...bought at Meijers supermarket, they have a British foods section...Birds custard, Macvitis Gingernuts, Hobnobs, Branston pickle amongst other things
I have a number of jars of Branston

Couple of nights ago I made 2 pints of custard and poured it on blueberry pie....hmmmm....hmmmm .... Hmmmmmmmm!

I get the local ready made in tins. No difference at all in quality. I eat Canadian produce whenever I can. No point in paying through the nose for British products that taste no differenT. It pees me off when I see on the local ex pats page people griping they can't get Ribena etc. If it means so much get back to the UK.

Wow, didn't mean to get you all worked up britboy It's just , I don't know, a flash back or lapse in memory, but I was thinking a box, with individual packets inside ?

jouell ... It was just a personal passion.... Custard. Lol
I do seem to remember individual packets in a box, now it's round cardboard containers with a plastic lid.

Birds Custard

And another one is Macvitis chocolate digestives

Just a little reminder of the motherland.

As for prices of UK products in the USA, for the pleasure I get out of the endulgence I don't concern myself.
It's only an occasional purchase.
