Is anyone else having problems ordering from Amazon. I have even ,after several emails, and asking to cancel the account and start again no joy in completing the checkout process. Is it just me being numb.

If your details are all correct and up to date, can you not use the 'One Click' ordering option?

I always use OC, not used regular checkout for years.

Dannyboy, have you had a new bank card recently? Perhaps your card has expired.

Had a weird problem since you posted this. My card had passed expiry date, and they only notified me by 'Kindle'.

I get at least one email every day from Amazon.

Although I had downloaded some Kindle reading material recently, I bought a dedicated 'paperwhite' e reader specifically for cold winter nights: to have a read in bed with a hot cuppa. (Live in a unheated house) It was sheer chance that I checked the state of charge on the Kindle (lasts months) and saw Amazon had taken back my last purchase, and displayed message 'problem with your card'. I only saw this message at the last possible moment, in the time frame Amazon gives.

No indication of anything amiss with my account when I logged on from PC.

Card exp date easily updated.

I only have one account, and there seems to have been no issue with non kindle stuff.
Was quickly able to replace the download which Amazon had taken back, but the message about "something wrong with your card" is sticky: maybe I can treat it as a book, to rid my Kindle of it: that will have to wait until I have the time to mess around with it.

Well, even though everything has been regularised on my account, I seem to be stuck with the warning on my Kindle: cannot find any way to remove it!

Mysteriously retried an order more in hope than anticipation and all of a sudden I am a "new" customer yet when I access my order history it is there going back years. Bizarre!!!
