Started by: PeterP (7504) Report abuse
On Tv at the moment advert for the post code lottery.Over 500 million given to good causes which equates to 32% of their income. Of the other 1000 million how much is prize money and how much is admin Not a bad little earner for some people

Its a rip off when I was in it, I checked to numbers and it was saying people in the next street had won, but I knew for a fact that no one had.
What the Postcode lottery does is put all of Britains Postcodes in the draw, so most of the number drawn are Postcode that have never joined up.

Said ont telly yesterday that in UK, currently, we spend 15 Billion a year on gambling.

Fifteen Billion is going to attract some shady practices, is it not.

And today, said they take 14 Billion in profits.

Which leaves only 1 Billion of costs, (including their payouts).

Wow

That means 93% of their takings are profit!
