Patrice Evra, the big soft baby , must be feeling pretty pleased with himself. He needs to grow up and get on with what he's paid to do, play football. Isn't it funny that he didn't even have a witness amongst his own team mates to support his pathetic allegation. I'll bet the charge would have been thrown out if it had been a white player accusing a black player, there, i,ve said it, it's just what everyone else is thinking anyway. Will be very interesting to see what happens with Terry now, the FA have set a precedent.

eddie7457,,,‘i,ve said it, it's just what everyone else is thinking anyway’
I for one was NOT thinking that
The ‘N’ word is unacceptable, on or off a sports field.
He got what he deserved and Terry WILL get the same.
And as for Evra, who you refer to as a ‘big soft baby’, for me kept his cool very well

wigvet, I never said the 'N' word was acceptable, try reading the post properly. When I said "what other people are thinking", I am referring to if the charge had been a white person against a black one. Too many people on here fail to read what's written before they react, as you have just done. By the way, if Suarez is guilty then he deserves a ban, as does Terry.

i dont know this case, but are you saying no other person heard this alleged comment.then who or by what right as this player been banned .without collaboration surely the charges must be dismissed.
Replied: 21st Dec 2011 at 08:06
Apparently, anmd I won't claim this is 100% fact, but the only evidence against Suarez is Evra's claim he said it. (whatever is alleged to have been said). He didn't even have any Man U team mates as witnesess. As I said before, if he said something racist, then I agree with the ban. I am in no way sticking up for him because he plays for Liverpool. This case now automatically makes Terry guilty, the lad has no chance of getting of with his charge now.

If suarez can be given eight match suspension there is no excuse for the FA not to give Terry the same.
As for Evra, how do we know he has never done the same but unlike himself, players have never whined about it and just got on with it.
Always struck me as a bit of a niggling player who wants all his own way.

the mans been found guilty, last year he was banned in france as he bit another player after a running battle of nasty comments, because he could not better his opponent he bit him, he is on report for his one finger gesture to the fulham fans, what a great roll model.
ruddy, Always struck me as a bit of a niggling player who wants all his own way.
there are a few on bolton team i could mention.

Hmm! Doesn't Evra have form for making allegations of racism? He accused a Groundsman at Chelsea of racist abuse in 2008 which was later found to be a baseless allegation.

PFA chief executive gordon taylor said " they deliberated for a long time so it means they must have had compelling evidence "

If it had been a Scotsman who was called a Jock *** or Irishman etc would the ban be eight matches. Those terms are classed as racial abuse. Why is a player only banned for three matches when he has gone over the top in a tackle and broke someones leg or crippled him forever. does the punishment fit the crime....just a thought.

john terry charged.
Prosecutors charge Chelsea & England captain John Terry with racially abusing opponent
on the suarez one, i think it will run and run, unless there is something in the documents that we don't know about yet. it will be interesting to read when published.

PFA chief executive gordon taylor said " they deliberated for a long time so it means they must have had compelling evidence"
I disagree. Compelling evidence would make for an open and shut case. Lengthy deliberations would suggest difficulty in reaching an agreement about whether the evidence was sufficient to prove or disprove guilt.

the question is re these allegations is why the fa in the evra=suarez incident and the cps in the john terry incident.
the fa should make their compelling evidence public as oscar stated if this evidence is so damning why the two or three hours deliberation.

Exactly. If the Police and the CPS have not been involved in the Suarez case, then it makes the judgement of the FA suspect.
Or to put it another way. If Suarez can be given eight matches by the FA without Police and CPS involvement, why has Terry not been given more matches?

are we to get a flood of these allegations in the future.in the heat of the moment things can be said and regretted later, to err is human to forgive is divine.

I read that Alan Hansen had to apologize for saying the word "coloured" when referring to Black players. It doesn't seem too long ago that people were told to say "coloured" so that they didn't offend Black players. When did all this change? Seems things have gone pear-shaped these days.
Replied: 22nd Dec 2011 at 14:01

If you consider it to be wrongly worded, then I suggest you get in touch with them.
