'Chris Kirkland hopes to earn a new deal at Wigan Athletic.

Kirkland's fitness setback at Doncaster Rovers is the latest problem in a long line of injuries which have disrupted the 30-year-old's career.

"First of all, I'd like to regain my place at Wigan and sign a new deal," he said in the Daily Mirror. "I understand that teams are going to be suspicious, but I hope somebody will take a chance like Paul Jewell did when I came here.'

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

He's been pinching a living for the last three years. How many clubs has he gone on loan to and ended up coming back because of injury.

It would help a lot if Wigan Athletic had a good goalie

Perhaps with the odd exception like Moses, those in front of him are not good enough.

Must be hard to lead them out of the Wilderness!

bluesfan.

Or should I say, Mr Perfect Latic's supporter.

Do you never miss a key?

And like all Latic's supporters you can't stand a bit of banter.

It's always banter when it's about latics though isn't it RD?

But never banter when the latics fans on here defend their team. I can't get round the fact that people from Wigan can't wait to have a go at their home town team and some actually want them to be relegated. Hence my defensiveness about Wigan Athletic a team I have supported since 1966.

I apologise for the spelling comment.

Some of them are actually supporters who have supported the Latic's since being a kid.

Something about like seeing them win more games then they lose!

Baker boy

By that, I take it you mean all the scousers who now live around the Wigan area and who watch the Latic's because its cheaper then Anfield or Goodison Park?
