A potential banana skin start,I would have preferred a top club at home followed by a couple of mid table clubs home and away

i think it would have been fair to say "hope we have learned from last seasons humiliation and emarrassment against blackpool"

thats what makes it a shame

got relagated despite being well supported team who played with heart and commitment and beat some of the top teams, including liverpool twice, and humiliated latics on the opening day

walshy i dont usually comment on your post's, but you implying that wigan should not be in the premiership because they are not well supported is total rubbish! are you saying if another bloke can support your wife/girlfriend
better than you, that he deserves her more than you?

read the post properly

where have i said in my last commont they are not well supported

they dont deserve to be in the premiership, they would more at home in the championship where you dont expect good crowds or good football all the time and that way they wouldnt keep surviving every year by the skin of there teeth

as for "they are not well not supported" its fact even though its a touchy subject

so walshy 16,500 average last year is not a good crowd for little wigan. Like every one says you know nowt about sport and thats a fact

show me where i have said i know anything

i keep forgeting there the smallest club in the premiership, but how have they got that name

there must be something else wrong with wigan because none of the big guns bring many supporters

i wonder why

if its only 3 points after 3 games then the last game of season is a must win(again) cant see december bringing any presents! but if its 9 from 3 games renew your passport its a european place!(or has the lager kicked in?)

walshy who do you support, i think we can get nine points from those first fixtures.no one deserves a place in the premier league wether well supported or not ask west ham n brum.we deservedly stopped up because of fight and committment, they did,nt,end of story.

Walshy think your wrong on going to the new promoted grounds as QPR is always a good trip BUT and only BUT depending on how much they charge away fans as home fans is dearest in premiership for certain games.
Swansea will get good away following as no one been and not many premiership teams ever played welsh team.
Norwich again long trip but good day out.
All depends on what day the fixture falls on.
One bonus for is ( Wigan ) is that I think both Norwich and QPR will bring good followings to DW.

Go as a united fan from Manchester, that would be a good one and unusual in old trafford.

it doesnt seem to deter fans from other clubs, theres someone on here who blames his kids for not going to away games, because hes not man enough to admit he doesnt go,does he think theres only him with kids now im sure that theres supporters out there that have kids, and i know it must cost a lot,but they still go to away games

no doubt some "supporters" will get upset again but if you only get an average of 700 away supporters you really cant say your well supported.........can you

Walshy, why are you so against Wigan being in Prem and why don't they deserve to be there ?

Put things into perspective. Wigan get average of 16,000 fans where as all the big teams get triple this PLUS have fans all over the country. On average it would be interesting to know how many fans of the bigger teams go to most away matches or is the away following split between fans choosing games or fans who live in the city the team is playing in.

sedge you are wasting your time with wally walshy /He has nothing good to say about wigan as a town let alone its sporting talents.Walshy "gets upset" he proclaims when work colleagues call wigan .Instead of being proud of his town he likes to belittle it in the hope one day he can leave wigan and join a town where he will be accepted.
Is there a town call scrikingsoftarse?he could be mayor for that

defo need a good striker either some young kids who'll work his stones off not like di santos or an older pro who's experienced.
Also, should go for Casper Schmiechal as well, great keeper with talent and only 22 ish.
