Warrington have just struggled through to the next round of the Challenge Cup beating Swinton 112-0. They are looking strong contenders for a hat-trick of CC wins, unless they drop on the Mighty Wigan

I think these one-sided games portray RL in a bad light. I know that if a top club plays a minnow you will get these results but I for one don't feel comfortable with these kind of games. The Swinton lads must be distraught.

I agree with broady they should be seeded in some way to avoid the sport being embarrassed like this, very rarely do you get games like the Leigh v Catalans and the Batley v Huddersfield matches with the lower league side putting up excellent performances and almost winning, only to be beaten by a bent ref in both games,I remember Leigh beating Salford in the challenge cup a few years back but I cant honestly see a repeat in the future, I think that the challenge cup should be boycotted by the Championship and Championship 1 clubs, and let the non relegation protected species got on with it

to much money in one league, the playing field is not at all level,hq need to get their fingers out.they think super leagues the be all and end all, misguided fools.direction from the top your having a laugh.widnes winning the super league "franchise" says it all.not even the best team in their division, they,ll have to spend a fortune to compete in sl.then which good side comes out ,any ideas.

The money from this drubbing could help Swinton and their like, just as it does in football...

the money may help financially but surely such a mauling can do no good for the moral of the players

when super league teams draw lower sides why not limit the number of first team players to give them a chance ,this would give academy players a game at a higher level.this would not apply if sl teams face each other.

not as embarresing as the latest crop of results you must try somthing to stop making the competion a laughing stock in the eary rounds I dont want to see 70/100 points in a game. The super league teams should have a stong enough squad to comply.Wigan under 20s beat Barrow first team.
It is happening in football where weaker teams are fielded when lesser clubs are the opponents!

how about making sure that all teams who aren't in the non relegation League are seeded to play at home that would give the lesser teams some cash at least

It wouldnt stop the inequality of the teams and as for money would you travel a lot of miles to watch a forgone conclussion, most of the speccys at the barrow game where season ticket holders.

so what then is the answer there is just no point in playing matches that are foregone conclusions how many non relegation teams have been beaten by the rest to be honest I can only remember Leigh beating salford a few years ago but to be honest if there had been a video ref at the Leigh v Catalans match this season Leigh would have won that's if the ref had referred it which I doubt he would because everything is geared to the protected species

pea thats my point why play amatch the the opponents little or no chance of winning.Your point on the favoured few It seems this also happens in football ie you never get a penalty united,or where did the ref get the extra time from, football dosent have video so you have to depend on the ref if he misses it you dont get it.
