Just watched a documentary about the Welsh rugby players who changed codes to play rugby league.what an eye opener it was . anybody else seen it?

Wouldn't have thought great players like Billy John Freeman Colin Dixon etc wouldn't be picked to play rugby union for Wales because they were black!!

I think that stamp was on a player called Greengrass. I have seen recent pictures of them and they are the best of buddies. The fans used to sing “ why did you stamp on Greengrass” to a tune from “ It ain’t half hot” or similar set in the British army in India. Windsor Davies and Don Estelle maybe.

It was possibly "Whispering Grass" by Don Estelle and Windsor Davies a number one hit in 1975.
