Wane should go now
Started by: wigvet (3384) Report abuse
two shocking defeats since his departure announcement, against the bottom of the league and 'nilled' out of the cup at the Wire with a truly dreadful display

and after viewing the video doing the rounds on You Tube of the drunken Tomkins brothers threatening and abusing the bar staff at 15s Standish they should go with him NOW as well

over to you Lenagan!

the Tomkins brothers were embarassingly drunk. The club knows about it , are dealing with it and the Tomkins have been to apologise to the barmaid. I wonder if people would have been as outraged if they had won yesterday? probably not because as we all know some Wigan fans are fickle and change like the wind. Yes a poor game yesterday. Warrington played their socks off and got the win. It's the nature of sport. You win some and lose some.

OMG...My warning fell on deaf ears.

his announcement mid-term has derailed the season - two shocking defeats - player discipline will no doubt improve when Hardaker arrives.....

i think we can discount wigan until next season when tompkins & shaun wayne leaves & a new man is in charge.

Whoever comes in needs to address the issues affecting the club on several levels. Firstly the ethos of chumminess whereby Shaun Wane has often declared that the players are his "mates". There should be a professional distance between coach and players. Mateyness invites charges of favouritism. Secondly, the new man [can I still say that in these PC days?!] must change the style of play. For too long now the team has been playing comparatively unattractive rugby, with little flair or imagination. It just isn't the Wigan way. We'll win nothing this season. What's worse, we'll see Saints sweep the board. Mr Lenagan has a huge task on his hands now. But suggestions made by some - of an internal appointment - are nonsense. We need a new broom to sweep away all the silliness and disappointments of this season.

Gideonfel, thats exactly what needs to happen, a scrum half is a must, and goal- kicker, a proper blend of togetherness of team spirit, because its not been there for a while now

kathpressey i agree with most of your comments re the wires game, but we had an entire team with the exception of bateman looking as if they couldnt care less.no half backs, forwards who where half as good as the wires.
the new coaches priority must be to replace both half backs asap, lacking ideas and guile.

This has been coming for 2 years now..the boys club doesn’t work

The quality of referees has gone downhill. Leigh were penalised by having a player sent of. Wrongly.. Hull down to 11 men a total of 30 minutes. Otherwise it would have been a Hull victory
I wonder if Referees ever watch a video of the matches they have ruined..

Sean Wayne should go.. to announce his departure a year in advance was enough to destroy any team. Until then those young lads were playing their heart out and coming up with the goods.
I hope they can get back to winning ways.

‘Leigh were penalised by having a player sent of. Wrongly’

You really mean that norman?

Le Peter Mata'utia was yesterday suspended for four matches for a tackle that could quite easily have broken the Leeds hookers neck

The player ACCEPTED his charge of a dangerous throw

i dont think its saints fault for very poor discipline from the hull players.if hull had kept 13 on the pitch norman i can agree with you on a hull victory.

Wane looked as he was watching his grandson playing cricket....and who the hell is his assistant....just go now and let’s hope he signs isa..Williams..sarginson....Powell...leulai...hauraki...Joel Tomkins...sam is going...with what’s left and new players and coaches we may become a reasonable team....ps...I hope the new players are more bulked up than most of those mentioned....we looked really knackered last night against the big uns of Wakefield
