I tend to agree whups.

What was most clear to me and other utd fans ive spoken with was the lack of effort and interest .

No fight, no aggression ,negativity in bucket loads.

Thought they only had to trot out to win .

Against any team you have to be organised and put the effort in, not least against european oppostion.

I am at a loss to come up with a valid reason for such a tepid display..

I hear you can cut the atmosphere at carrington with a bread knife .

Its the manager that needs to change or we need to change the manager.

Well something needs to change worsley .

The philosophy that negativity is good perhaps .

I have defended jose before now but tuesdays inept display has, i admit, got me thinking.

I was one of the people that was not happy when he was appointed. We new what his type of play was and I did not like it. I would rather have lost playing football than lose like Tuesday.

What about the Spurs Manager. I am sure if he had Lukaku, Sanchez, Martial, Rashford, Lingard , Pogba and Mata available he wouldn’t adopt a defensive attitude. Sevilla have a negative goal difference in La Liga and with the above array of attacking players United managed four shots on goal in two games. Unbelievable.

It looked to me has though he prioritised the Liverpool game over the cup game. I don't know if he thought the Sevilla game was in the bag but anyone who saw them score 3 at home and 2 away when they played Liverpool earlier in the season shouldn't have done.
Rashford scored two great goals cutting in from the left on Saturday so why start him right on Tuesday?
Mc Tominay who was excellent Saturday, "sit down son Fellaini's here"

Look back at the number of times matic was isolated .

The sevilla manager worked out after the first 5 / 10 mins that the ponderous fellaini was supposed to be the holding player alongside matic.

At times matic was surrounded by the sevilla midfield while fellaini struggled to get back to help him.

Why we didnt go with a 4 - 3 - 3 and take the game to sevilla is beyond me ,and perhaps someone can tell me in what position lingard was supposed to be playing.

He looked completely lost .perhaps its time to unleash young gomes

I hear again today that the feeling of despair hangs. around carrington
