Having scored two early tries through skillful ball handling they went on to over elaborate and bombed chance after chance by doing so.
It was good to see a couple of props score powerful barge over tries against a Hull pack that was being tipped to dominate. Am I alone in not missing Frank-Paul?

Not not alone B.B....wane was very honest when he said he was disappointed with the performance...it wasn’t like Gildart to make the wrong decisions at critical times...perhaps he thought the Aussie clubs would be watching so was trying to impress...a good 2 points...but not a good advert for others to watch....sam Tomkins badly needs to up his game and keep quiet around the ref...not a marque player for me...hope escare keeps fit...a great player

The tactic of moving Sam's position when we spell the hooker can't be helping him settle into any sort of rhythm.

Whereas against Salford the team sparked when Wane made the change, against Hull I actually thought it to be counter productive.

Still, a match lasts 80 minutes and if we continue to outscore the opposition it doesn't really matter when the points are scored.

We had a bright start last season but quickly went off the boil. Let's hope that we can maintain the momentum this year.
