Decent squad for the friendly
Started by: peawapp (4991)  Report abuse
Shaun Wane has named a very good squad for this weekend's Friendly with Leigh ,with Burgess, Clubb,Davies, Escare ,Farrell, Flower, Gildart, Isa, Leulia, Marshall, O'Loughlin, Nuassalla, Powell ,Sarginson, Sutton, Tautia, Williams and Joel and Sam tomkins. together with another 4 who I dont know ,it should be a decent work out for both teams ,let's hope that a few more than turned up from Wigan last year make the short journey to the sports village , it's been a long wait since the million pound match for us but I shall be in the North stand hoping for a good game

I was there last year and there were plenty of Wigan Warriors fans watching you beat the crap out of us

about 400 I estimated ,I put it down to the match being on the Wigan Telly ,I know two of my mates stayed home to watch it on there ,I was hoping they were going to come and buy Me some ale

Posted by: builderboy (2034) Report abuse
Surely as host you would have been expected to buy the beer.

Or does it not work like that in Leigh?

Does anyone really care about this match apart from Leigh. It's a run out that's all.

peter g,
Donít forget it is one of the rare occasions the local natives will get to see SL players this season. They will spend the season visiting obscure Yorkshire locations.

Posted by: builderboy (2034) Report abuse
Naughty naughty!!!!

Don't you go rubbing Mr. Peawapp's nose in it

Broady don't forget the SL teams in these obscure Yorkshire locations

peter g.
surely this Season it's all about saying Goodbye and thank you to Mickey Higham ,who has been a wonderful servant to both teams plus Warrington and St Helens ,I would think that about 4.000 plus will be bothered about this game ,you I suppose won't be there ,you won't be missed though

Agree peawapp, a fine ambassador for the game.

I won't be there Peawapp apart from working I'm not into a two bob friendly which we wont take seriously anyway and the 4,000 who will be Leythers treat this as their cup final. I'll see you at the league match oops I forgot I can't can I you'll be at Batley instead. lol

Posted by: peawapp (4991)  Report abuse
I will be at Batley your quite correct because I am a proper supporter who watches his team home and away whatever the Competion, unlike you the only match I wont see this Season is the away match with Toronto, I will be in France when Leigh play Toulouse, I suspect also that there will be several hundred Pie eaters there tomorrow who unlike you happen to regard Mickey higham in high regard and will be there to pay their tribute to him ,as stated earlier you won't be missed
were you by any chance at the Sports village in June last Season when the score in the Super League match was Leigh Centurions 50 wigan Warriors 34 just wondering lol

Posted by: peawapp (4991)  Report abuse
Peawapp has returned from the match eventually after a couple of pints in the Centurion pub, very pleased with his team after a close fought defeat to a full strength Wigan team it bodes well for the coming Championship campaign, Jamie acton back after a 4 month ban was an absolute beast, never happier than when he has blood streaming from his eye, there was a very good crowd on to see Mickey Highams farewell 4.504 excellent given the weather according to Matt Lawton ticket master at Leyth there were 1,00 from Wiggin which is a fair result ,finally a word about the Referee ,one Robert Hicks also known as the Baby faced Assassin .bloody hell Hicks you don't get any better

Posted by: peawapp (4991)  Report abuse
