Wigan Worlds Christmas sports quiz......
Started by: chatty (5938)  Report abuse
..........................................................................................................................................................................................
Only one question in the quiz this year but surely worth asking.
When do you officially become a glory hunter?
Is it when your home town team who you have no interest in whatsoever reaches the Premier League so you buy a season ticket for a year till the novelty wears off?(And even when they win 7-0 away from home can't manage to muster a comment about them)
Or when a Johnny come lately club reach the top of the league and you never stop posting about them even though you have never and never will, travel 20 miles up the road to watch them in the flesh?

First prize: A day online swapping anecdotes with WW's most prolific obsessive on his favourite subject.
Second prize: A weekend online swapping anecdotes with WW's most prolific obsessive on his favourite subject.

Are you not entering, I reckon you've a good chance of winning.
Just think you'll be able to post backwards and forwards to yourself all day.
Then again having seen most of your recent posts that's what you do already.

The all consuming obsession with utd .

Posted by: laughing gravy (3569) Report abuse

Posted by: grimshaw (1019)  Report abuse
You dont deny you are deeply obsessed by utd then saddo.

Posted by: bryanp121 (1319) Report abuse
What about people that tell everyone on here they followed man utd as a youngster then change teams when an Arab deposits millions in city bank account. Must be a contender.

Posted by: grimshaw (1019)  Report abuse
Spot on bryanp.

Not blowing my own trumpet but i doubt if many on here have watched utd more than i have, over 60 years now .

Never wavered in my support even in the dark days re munich and subsequently.

So for the ammusement of saddo .

KEEP THE FAITH .

"LG. Your jumping the gun,I did not mean you, 0years typed on here when he first joined that he was a united fan as a youngster."

Wrong yet again!

I have stated previously that I have watched utd live as a youngster because my mate's big brother was a utd fan and used to take us. I also stated that I have watched Latics, Preston and Bolton. Does that make me a fan of those clubs? I think not.

I have also said that City were my first love and have always been.

I am a football fan you see bryanp121, is that concept too difficult for you to grasp?

BTW, My season ticket at City is now in it's 26th consecutive year, where do you sit at OT with yours?......thought not.

0years in your wildest dreams i bet you never thought you'd be watching masterclass week in week out, whilst the schoolyard bully's have to put up with utter tosh, karma really does exist ,i wonder what they will say when in the future city fans will be in a brand new 100 thousand seater stadium whilst the once all conquering, united are wallowing in the 3rd division, you heard it 1st here

Posted by: chatty (5938)  Report abuse
I know what i'll say "when in the future City fans have a brand new 100 thousand seater stadium"........There you go lads all have three seats each to lie across!

Posted by: 0 years (2872) Report abuse
You are right LG, Wrexham (Boxing Day 1998) seems a million miles away. That was our lowest point but looking back I wouldn't have had it any other way. It was great fun.

That was my son's first away game and what City have subjected him to since could be regarded as child cruelty.

City kids these days don't know they are born.

CHATTY WHILST ITS CHRISTMAS AND GOOD WILL TO ALL MEN,IS IT NOT TIME YOU APOLOGISED TO BAKER BOY I THINK IT WAS FOR JUMPING DOWN HIS THROAT WHEN HE SAID CITY WERE STRIDING AWAY,AS HE WAS OBVIOUSLY RIGHT WAS'NT HE SO COME ON ARE YOU MAN ENOUGH TO ADMIT YOU WERE WRONG?

Posted by: chatty (5938)  Report abuse
Bloody hell the old soldiers turned up.
If you want I can swap stories with you about wacking school and hitching it to Middlesboro" for a mid week away game, or being stuck in London with 75p in my pocket after a game at Arsenal and no obvious means of getting home.

Posted by: chatty (5938)  Report abuse
Laughable you have me on "ignore"( don't forget) so you may well have missed my apology?

Posted by: laughing gravy (3569) Report abuse
could somebody please paste chattys apology to baker boy

Posted by: chatty (5938)  Report abuse
Good luck with that one lads

Posted by: laughing gravy (3569) Report abuse
chatty you obviously realised i'm telling the truth when i say your on ignore otherwise you would not have put all them full stops before you posted this thread..so why are you replying when i cant bloody see um??? kin idiot

Posted by: 0 years (2872) Report abuse
Oooh Chatty, you are such a trooper!

75p would have got you in the toilets at Euston station 15 times in days gone by. Far better than paying for a room when you are a skint teenager.

I have slept in a cubicle in there a couple of times after missing the last train back from London games (historically mind).

No matter what team you support, these type of activities and Chatty's hitch hiking escapades are what made following your team fun "back in the day".

Not the sanitised tripe we endure today.

Posted by: laughing gravy (3569) Report abuse
hitch hiking jumping trains, has that mon never paid to see his team..

Posted by: chatty (5938)  Report abuse
Don't forget 25p of that would go on the disposable toothbrush and toothpaste you could buy from the dispenser in the toilets on Euston station.
Now you mention that you regularly dossed in the bogs on London train stations I get an even better picture of you.

chatty where is my shiny penny? or are you going to betwelch too

Posted by: chatty (5938)  Report abuse
I can't help but notice if anyone praises or gives a thumbs up to someone of "another faction" it doesn't half torment the guy who loves nothing better than for everyone to be at each others throats on here.
Just saying.

Posted by: laughing gravy (3569) Report abuse
i wonder if baker boys had his apology yet? people can say what they want about me,but at the very least its not often i'm wrongbut if i am i will aopolgise immediatley or at the first chance i get,yet theres folk on here who think they are so much better than other folk who think the are too high and mighty to apologise even when they know they are wrong, but what would you expect theres 5 plastics on here well there was till one disappeared and out of those 5 theres 3 liars 2 betwelchers ant at least on who is both a betwelcher and a liar!broady is the only decent united fan on here a MAN amongst rabble

Posted by: chatty (5938)  Report abuse
And as if proof was needed, not happy unless stirring it up!

Posted by: laughing gravy (3569) Report abuse
chatty theres no getting away from the FACT you took umbridge because baker boy was spot on about city STRIDING away and you jumped down his throat exclaiming CITY ARE NOT STRIDING AWAY!! true or not liar? yet still you wont apologise my question to you is WHY NOT

Posted by: chatty (5938)  Report abuse
I can't recall the exact postings but at the time City weren't striding away with it.
I am sure if bb wants and apology (don't know why he would and he certainly doesn't need you taking offence on his behalf) he's quite big enough to ask himself, what we don't need is you sticking your hooter in just trying to cause more discord on the sports board!

Posted by: laughing gravy (3569) Report abuse
i know exactly what you are and you know it,spin as many yarns as you want to make other people think oh that chatty he's arightbut it galls you knowing i will always out you for what you really are,a very very dishonest person,if it wer'nt for stu outing you as a binmon,i'da said you were a fraudster

Posted by: chatty (5938)  Report abuse
dishonest, binmon, fraudster

And a Happy New Year to you.
(Just imagine how upset you'd be if you didn't have me on "ignore")

Posted by: laughing gravy (3569) Report abuse
