we should treat this guy with kid gloves as he is ill & must have a mental disorder .

Posted by: chatty (6013)  Report abuse
It's a well known fact "0 years" struggles to get to grips with that Gregorian Calendar malarky.

Posted by: laughing gravy (3721) Report abuse
whups mental disorder?? yet i'm the only one who knew that trafford spent 200 million on two donkeys, and up to now have been proven right on every occasion!! yet chatty says i know nowt about football...

Posted by: 0 years (2886) Report abuse
Thanks LG, I don't mind you pointing that out. I missed that gap in the Gregorian calendar.

Now, whilst we are talking about POINTS, MIND and GAPS.....

Posted by: chatty (6013)  Report abuse
Well done 0 years you were MOST SUCCESSFUL at shoehorning the headline I must have read at least 20 TIMES into not your most GLAMOUROUS or BIGGEST post.

Now whilst we are talking....

Posted by: 0 years (2886) Report abuse
Your first two points are undeniable (in this country only), if not historical.

Your third point is deluded,

Glamorous - "attractive, beautiful, lovely, charming, entrancing, elegant, dazzling, enchanting, captivating, alluring"..... er, I don't think so.

And your fourth? Yoonited aren't even the biggest in Manchester.

Now that's four points, all you need now is another 11.

Posted by: chatty (6013)  Report abuse
Undeniable(in this country only)
You can only win the League the most times in the country you actually play in?

If not historical?
History shows we are.

Glamorous-"attractive"
Manage to attract the biggest crowd everytime we play.

"captivating"
City managed to captivate just 35000 home fans for a semi final.

Arguably the biggest club in the world.

Barring that you made some good points.

Now if you do win the League that will be five, all you need then is another 15.

Posted by: chatty (6013)  Report abuse
Double bubble.

Posted by: laughing gravy (3721) Report abuse
let me guess chatty spouting about the past...

Posted by: chatty (6013)  Report abuse
No need to "guess" what the obsessed one is spouting about.

Posted by: laughing gravy (3721) Report abuse
lets see your ticket from last neet chatty..

You can only win the League the most times in the country you actually play in?
How many Champions Leagues (or is that not considered success), which as we know from a previous thread is regarded as the pinnacle? Liverpool anyone?

You beat me to the "istree" point LG.

Biggest club in the world with biggest attendances? A couple of La Liga clubs might question that one.

Barring that you made some good points.

Posted by: chatty (6013)  Report abuse
"Champions Leagues the pinnacle"?
When has a knockout Cup ever been considered the indicator of the best team?
Are you trying to make a case for Liverpool being the best team in Europe in 2005 when they weren't even the best team in England?

"istree" means fact, it happened!

Biggest attendances means biggest club?
Will you ever be bigger than Newcastle then?
I was thinking more of the club with the biggest turn over
(whilst being in that "Mickey Mouse" European competition as well)

Sorry pal on that occasion you made no good points.

Posted by: 0 years (2886) Report abuse
1) Yes, everyone apart from yoonited fans consider the Champions League to be the pinnacle. You don't because it doesn't suit your argument. If yoonited had won it more times than Liverpool, it would suddenly become the pinnacle, just like when the Europa, League Cup and Community shield suddenly became worthy trophies.

2) Yes, agreed, istree "happened" in the past, stop banging on about it.

3) You misunderstood my sentence, my meaning was to question that yoonited are the biggest club in the world and that also that you had the biggest attendances. However if you are in fact suggesting by your jibe that having bigger attendances doesn't make you a bigger club then your boast that: "Manage to attract the biggest crowd everytime we play" counts for nothing.

Please post a picture of the "turnover trophy" you got for selling more shirts, I'm sure it is nice and shiny.

Posted by: chatty (6013)  Report abuse
It was actually Liverpool fans who for years pointed to Leagues titles won to show who was the best team, guess when that changed.

You not me first used the word "istree" on these boards, please practice what you preach.

"Manage to attract the biggest crowd everytime we play" was in response to insinuating how unglamorous (unattractive) we are.
Which way do YOU want it, United can't be the biggest club because they don't have the biggest attendance or Newcastle are bigger than City because they do?
To be fair it's less to do with how many you get on and more to do with how many you don't when you reach a Semi.

You're getting confused, the trophy we won was the Europa League, whilst having the biggest turn over.
It is nice and shiny though, (I have already posted a photo of it on here somewhere)

You seem to be getting your old form back Chatty. Bravo!

Obviously the ever increasing gap is causing those bitter old stirrings.

Not sure what you mean about the istree comment. I simply told you to stop banging on about it (like you have always done) Nobody cares, You have won lot's of things, well done, toffee apple on it's way.

I care not either who has a bigger crowd than whom. If Newcastle get more through the door then fair play to them, once again, who cares? The fact that they average almost as many as City doesn't make them bigger or smaller, and again, who cares if they were bigger?

This obsession with who is the bigger club is one solely the domain of yoonited fans, especially in recent years when they haven't won much of consequence. You don't get the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool fans pontificating that they are bigger than utd/City etc. They might think they have more istree or glamour or entitlement than utd and others, and they might have a point, but they don't tend to use "size" as their yardstick for success because it is plain silly.

And to have a dig about empty seats just shows how far City have come in recent years. yoonited fans are desperate to cling onto this along with the istree topic as you are very quickly running out of sticks to beat us with. These days it is City who are picking up the sticks.

So feel free to carry on boasting about the size of your attendances or empty seats at City but rest assured, if you visit any City forum on the topic you will see that Blues really couldn't care less that yoonited fans think we can't fill our stadium or how many fans yoonited or Newcastle or Bournmouth get at games. It really isn't that important and is just a touch silly.

A wise man once rightly said, "they don't like it up 'em !

Too right they don't

"Getting my old form back"?

From the guy who got the huff and stated he had finished on here, then City have an upturn in fortunes and bravo guess who pops up.

Newcastle's crowds was used to highlight your flawed argument about United can't be bigger because they don't have the biggest crowd.

On what basis would Chelsea or Liverpool pontificate that point?

If you look back through the thread who first brought up points, gap and mind?
So it was actually YOU who started the BOASTING.

Posted by: laughing gravy (3721) Report abuse
i'l simply ask this of chatty but know i wont get a truthfl answer if trafford are the biggest best supported club in the world why are there empty seats at old trafford they claim to have 659 million fans worldwide!! yet cant fill a 75,500 seat stadium why is that chatty and no bullcrap reply please...

Deary me, because when Billo from Salford gets the sh#ts at five to three, Baakr from Bombey doesn't have time to get there.

your a sick man lg/kd.

Posted by: 0 years (2886) Report abuse
"Getting my old form back"? - refers to your lacklustre performances of late.

Argument not flawed at all, you simply constantly reverse your viewpoint until you find one that suits you.

Correct, I got the first boast in, in retaliation to your first dig.

And here it is again....MIND THE GAP!

And now I'll let you get the last word in as I know you might worry if you don't

Posted by: chatty (6013)  Report abuse
I haven't "reversed" any "viewpoint".

You inferred United couldn't be the biggest club in the world because they didn't get the biggest attendances.
All I did was point out that by YOUR yardstick Newcastle are a bigger club than City then!
(I made a mistake actually, I should have said Arsenal...and Tottenham,...... oh and West Ham)

Mine wasn't a dig it was an historical fact, yours was a boast!

I'll never get the "last word" over you because even when you "leave for good" you always return(upturn in fortunes permitting)
