Too much pep
Started by: roylew (2268) Report abuse
Disgraceful scenes at Bournemouth at the end..manager and players act like little kids...Pep no setting good example when they should and yet shearer and his host on MOTD say nothing wrong with emotion....no you are wrong roll models?.....not...nothing wrong with emotion but grow up

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
You can buy somethings with money roy, but not class.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
Obviously having money helps you sweep any "incidents" under the carpet!

Posted by: roylew (2268) Report abuse
You are correct chatty...and shearer thought it was ok...I agreed with him that all 7 city players should have been booked but he said it tongue in cheek....by the way I thought Huddersfield Towns manager last season was wrong to run to his players when they scored against Leeds...he should have got a touchline ban...and I support them but not those actions

G B.

Tremendous stuff re the berties game..

Perhaps all the time he could add on after the 5 mins was 25 secs are so .

You are spot on with what you say ,mind you it is the berties so nowt is said eh.

Imagine the media attention if it had been utd

Posted by: farrie50 (1678)  Report abuse
pssst don't mention Fergie time (carry on till we score)

Posted by: gaffer (5900)   Report abuse
GB

A minimum of 30 seconds is added for each substitution and for red and yellow cards. Time wasting and goal scoring celebrations also count towards extra time.

Sorry gaffer but you are wrong about the thirty seconds.

If a player takes sixty seconds to walk of the pitch while being subed. The ref will add sixty seconds not thirty.

Posted by: broady (12485)   Report abuse
Fireplace,
Gaffers post says a MINIMUM of thirty seconds. It follows that if it is longer they will add more.

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
It's too complicated for him Broady.

Posted by: fireplace6899 (10522)  Report abuse
Still wrong.

If a player takes 15 seconds to walk off, then 15 seconds not 30 will be added.

Still stalking the sports section, STILL no constructive post.(6 years and counting)

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
(6 years and counting)

You took the time out to find that and I'm the stalker?

Time you found yourself a hobby or a more interesting job.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
Yea it took my all of 0.5 seconds to click on the last page on the sports section showing the first threads were April 2011.
You've been haranguing folk on here ever since with nothing constructive to say, so stalking it is then!

Tick tock by the way!

Posted by: fireplace6899 (10522)  Report abuse
As a rule of thumb, yes. But if a player is doddering, meandering, then extra time can be added. And it's the same for red cards, yellow cards as well.

Notice the first five words.

I rest my case.

Posted by: broady (12485)   Report abuse
That was said three or four days ago.

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
Yea it took my all of 0.5 seconds to click on the last page on the sports section showing the first threads were April 2011.

The fact you feel the need to know how to do that is a reflection on how sad and empty your life is.

Tick tock indeed.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
Yet within my "sad and empty life" I have still found time for constructive posts on this board!

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
Yet within my "sad and empty life"

So you admit it then.

Yea that figures I suppose, only a person without the wit to know what speech marks represent would ask the question!

Edit, Of course me doing a typo due to having fat fingers, small keyboard and not the best of eyesight equals your lack of knowledge concerning speech marks, why wouldn't it.

Just as I feared the task of posting something constructive was beyond him.
Year on year post after post he as sneered and sniggered at somebody or something whilst all the time indicating how "intelligent" he is without once contributing anything interesting, amusing ( his trip to Ewood Park excepted, oh how we laughed ) or thought provoking.
Imagine how sad the site would be if everyone posting on here had his attitude.

Well there's goes one title United wont be winning this season...... King of the unfunny gif images.

Then again they have served you well over the years with your inability to give a witty riposte!

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse

Very well indeed, much to your detriment

You've absolutely no idea.

Only unfunny to you and the likes, hilarious to the majority of folk.

Delusional

The irony here is immense.

You actually think there's no proof? That just proves you're delusional.

Condescending

Not the bins then...........you don't sweep up swarf as well?

Just produce the proof showing me the majority of folks think your gifs are hilarious?

I wonder which will appear first, proof or a constructive post!
I wont hold my breath on either!

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
You actually think there's no proof?

That's in reply to "Assumpional", or was that too much for you?

Just produce the proof showing me the majority of folks think your gifs are hilarious?

You want to hear the guys here laughing, you're a star here, they can't wait for your next stupid attempt.

I wont hold my breath on either!

We all hope you do Shatty, we all hope you do.

At least it wasn't wasted!

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
Here I am conversing with someone who's never been anywhere, never done anything, goes to Benidorm every year during Wigan weeks and sups Watneys Red Barrel in Wigan themed pubs, orders English Breakfasts (don't want to eat any of that foreign muck) and you're talking about "waste"?

You're going to have to do a lot better than that Shatty.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
Benidorm, Watneys Red Barrel, English Breakfasts??

I do believe I've hit a nerve!

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
You're not capable, but I noticed there was no denial.

Your logic isn't the best to start with, now you're just confused.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
You try to tell me I holiday in Benidorm, drink Watneys Red Barrel whilst eating English Breakfasts, and you think I am the one confused.

I have an apology to make, I once said your post's weren't funny!
I knew you could contribute to this forum if you put your mind to it.

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
Still no denial.

Your apology sounds insincere, I'll pass if you don't mind.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse

Here I am conversing with someone who's never been anywhere, never done anything, goes to Benidorm every year......

That's a bit rich from the guy who was once spouting off on here about his "trip to Ewood Park" as though he'd canoed the length of the Amazon!

Posted by: fireplace6899 (10522)  Report abuse
Did he walk the "Dougie" to get to Ewood Park?

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
Poor old Shatty still clinging to the old favourite I see, pitiful really from a bloke who the furthest West he's been is Rhyl. Keep emptying the bins soft lad.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
As the saying goes, The old ones (especially in this case)
are the best ones.
There you go again sneering at bin men.
Your (misplaced)superiority complex is rearing its ugly head again, refuse collectors do an essential service I tip mine every Christmas, I pity yours

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
sneering at bin men

Oh dear, if ever a nerve was touched.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
That's correct as well as scoffing at people who holiday in Benidorm, drink beer and eat English Breakfasts, you wanted me to deny I did those things. I didn't bother because it doesn't offend me as it seems to do you!
If you disappear any further up your own backside you will reappear out of your mouth!

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
Strained all that Shatty, all forced and over thought.
Do you like Benidorm then?

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
Bang on the button nevertheless.

There seems to be plenty of activity from you on here recently, you're posting a lot a more than usual over half a dozen time zones. Am I getting to you?

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
Bang on the button

In your opinion, which in my opinion, worthless.

Am I getting to you?

I think if we're both honest it's quite the reverse, isn't it?

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
It's just when someone does something out of character(goes from posting irregular) to banging out post after post within seconds of my reply when it usually takes them hours to respond it makes me think they're rattled that's all.

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
Is it me replying to you or you replying to me?

Not at all rattled Shatty, but if it finally gets you actually thinking.......... well that's got to be a plus.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
Yes I've been thinking a while........why would a man with an "ology" frequent a sports messageboard on the other side of the world over several time zones whilst never ever making one positive contribution to said messageboard??

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
Yes I've been thinking a while

That's very good because you need all the practice you can get.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
Then it also got me thinking.......... it must be loneliness, can't imagine anyone having the misfortune too have to live with him?
Or is he just a crank?
Is he a Walter Mitty type character, he certainly lives in a dream world?

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse
Then it also got me thinking

This is good Shatty, like I said you need all the help you can get with this thinking thing, you'll get use to it, maybe even get proficient!

lives in a dream world

Compared to your world, I certainly do.

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse

Posted by: xxstuartxx (5705) Report abuse

just an observation that probably wont be wanted but,i think one of you need to be the bigger man and knock this on the head!,as its clearly a case of the immovable object facing the irisistable force

Posted by: chatty (5032)  Report abuse
And there's me thinking it was a case of the sad old man on the other side of the world with no one to converse with!

The thread started off about an incident in a football game before being hijacked by the guy with no interest in football who has still to write a constructive post on this website in all the time it's existed.
I honestly thought I was doing my bit for care in the community Stateside by keeping him on here and off the streets over there.

Well lg you may just have come across as the voice of reason, that's one sentence I never envisaged writing!

Posted by: laughing gravy (2296) Report abuse
why chatty i thank youi suppose i should thank stu as well,as your spat with him as probably brought around your lull in hostility with mebut i'd much prefer it this way
