I understand this is Wigan World and that there are a lot of Wigan Athletic supporter's on here.
So i would like to ask the connoisseur's of the football world " What do they think about CLAUDIO RANIERI BEING SACKED"? Just to give my insight into the issue is i think the timing is very bad and is this a trend because we are getting too many foreign owner's?? SO?

Disgraceful. Rumour has it that there is a dressing room revolt. Ungrateful ******** Up to last season most of them were unknowns until he moulded them into a team. As good a player as the lad who went to Chelsea was I don't think his leaving should have had such a great difference. I think the influx of foreign owners means they have no deep understanding of the vagaries of the English game. They think it is a business and once "sales slide" get rid of the sales manager. Good luck to him anyway. I am sure he has a tidy compensation payment and will be back on the merry go round soon (maybe in China) We shall see.

Apparently when he took over and they were fighting relegation the board wanted assurances if they went down that he would be willing to stay with them in the Championship to try and get them promoted back up.
Instead he pulls off one of the greatest achievements football as ever seen, the players all get massive pay rises then forget what actually got them the rises in the first place and the board sack him.

Within three years they will be erecting a statue of him outside of that football ground!
