"Hey Mikhy"

Posted by: broady (12468)   Report abuse
Lovely goal but on my TV he looked offside. Only watched the second half but looked a better performance. I still don't think he knows which is his best team. Is Shaw injured??

Posted by: chatty (5030)  Report abuse
Good yard offside tremendous improvisation all the same.
Think Shaw's fell foul of the Special One again, Blind scored a good goal, technically better than Shaw but not as mobile.

Posted by: whups (2285)  Report abuse
we need a new left back as blind is no left back & exposed by quicker players. i think shaw has definitly fell foul of the special 1 ? .oh mycky you so fine. wot a goal even if it was offside.

Posted by: broady (12468)   Report abuse
Playing wide on the left doesn't seem to be settled either. I think maybe Rashford or Martial. What do others think.

Posted by: grimshaw (613)  Report abuse
stuttering at best in the first half but better in the second apart from a brief offensive spell from moyes men according to my carrington correspondent.

a terrific month .bit different from last year .
the barkely story wont go away with rumours persisting that depay and schneiderlin and schweinsteiger will be moved on .

the media in portugal report the lindelof deal is done with the no 2 shirt already allocated to him.

dont be to hasty in discounting shaw.i hear jose still rates him but time will tell
all shaw needs i m o is game time and his confidence regained..confidence is important..a current example being mikhitaryan.

KEEP THE FAITH

grimshaw i know on another blog i said about herrera & carrick should be in the team. it,s no surprise that since they have been in the team we hav,nt lost a game & pogba has come into his own . but shaw ,much as i like him , seems to be out of favour with the boss & the left back position seems a poisoned challis. what do you think ? .

Posted by: grimshaw (613)  Report abuse
you were spot on regarding herrera whups.ive watched him closely when carrick is alongside which seems to give him more options .and he can learn from carrick who rarely wastes a pass.any new player at a club needs time and pogba is no exception..he will be a top top player im sure .

shaw is a very good player .no doubt about it in my eyes .
jose still rates him i understand .he sees him in training each day so he knows more about him than we do .

shaw played wide left midfield a time or two for southhampton when they had a 4-5 1 formation so perhaps that could be the answer.

the middlesborough left back friend is a very good player whups .one to watch this week end .

Posted by: grimshaw (613)  Report abuse
the lindelof deal is off according to b b c reports which is contrary to the reports from portugal.

apparently jose is happy with jones and rojo .
jones yes but not sure about rojo

Posted by: whups (2285)  Report abuse
pogba needed someone like pirlo who made him a world beater & 4 me carrick fitted that role .me & fp are friends but had words over carrick ,but i think i won my argument on that. i also think that at a push blind can play the role when carrick is unavailable.

What are people's opinions of Rooney's place in the team for the rest of the season. I think not much PL but maybe Europe on Thursday's.

Posted by: grimshaw (613)  Report abuse
rooney will play a role broady albeit a peripheral one .
when you look at utds squad he will do well to start in many games.

utds reserve squad have some v v promising members who are pressing for first team squad inclusion but of course it all depends if they get the nod from jose or go out on loan as beckham did when he went to preston

Posted by: whups (2285)  Report abuse
grimshaw have you heard about or seen the lad in the acadamy side called angel gomes ? . i,ve been telling my mates about him for months. i told them about rashford this time last year , but this lad is a little bit special .

Posted by: grimshaw (613)  Report abuse
ive heard all about him whups .
my pal has a contact at carrington and he tells me they rave about him and i believe he is only 16 .word is he has everything and exudes confidence in his own ability.

one very much for the future.i hope jose isnt against blooding youngsters such as gomes and the likes of borthwick -jackson et al

Posted by: whups (2285)  Report abuse
he certainly does & he,s running the show at the acadamy. i,ve heard that barcelona are interested in him.

Posted by: grimshaw (613)  Report abuse
every top club in europe and probably beyond will be aware of him whups.

im told he has a touch of arrogance about him even at his age .a touch of eric perhaps.

hope he dosnt fade away and becomes a top top midfield player in the mould of robson and keane,

now that WOULD be worth waiting for

Posted by: whups (2285)  Report abuse
yes he does grim. but there,s just 1 thing against him ? ,height . he,s on the small side .wether or not he shoots up in the coming yrs i dont know & i know it,s no hinderance to messi & the likes ,but he,s certainly a class act.he is in the united mould with flair ,pace & goals.the rest of the acadamy lads look to him for inspiration when things are down.

A great prospect by all accounts.
Remember a football coach years ago saying the most important years for a footballers education are between 16-20 years of age.
That's when after playing for most of their young lives they really need the determination to succeed but that's when the distractions come in like trying to live the lifestyle of their mates many who have "normal" jobs, girls, etc.
He also said he'd seen many players with ordinary talent knuckle down and make a great living from the game and others who looked like world beaters at 16 drift out of the game by their early 20s.
Ravel Morrison was the last great example of a "brilliant prospect" at United who got side tracked.
I am sure the lad has the drive and determination to make it.

PS.Happy Birthday lg, I know you keep a close eye on the United threads!

Looking forward to watching today's game. No Carrick, Jones or Rojo. Fellaini playing. Not my favourite but Jose knows best. Schweinsteiger on the bench. Fancy United to win.

Posted by: broady (12468)   Report abuse
The right result. United had a good goal disallowed, a very good penalty claim turned down and scored two late goals. My men of the match Martial ( think he had the needle) and Pogba.

pogba was,nt playing was he ? .

Posted by: broady (12468)   Report abuse
Did you not watch the game???

Posted by: broady (12468)   Report abuse
Not a very good display last night. Bit churlish of Jose to walk out of the interview. Radhford does not resemble the player that burst on to the scene last year.

Posted by: chatty (5030)  Report abuse
You blow my mind!

another sparkling display by mikhy at leicester

Mike Dean's sons have angrily denied that their dad is a United fan!

"He's a fair & honest man", said sons Alex, George, Bobby & Wayne.

he , andre marriner & michael oliver are the 3 worst refs in the premier league.

Considering this is Manchester World.....what a match at City last night......Aguero , a world class player...

Posted by: chatty (5030)  Report abuse
Yea, Sunday League defending.

"Hey Mikhy"

Another professional European away performance by the mighty reds, and another 90 minutes wasted by despicable and his ilk sat in front of their telly's kicking and heading every ball hoping and praying Utd get beat, never mind better luck next time!

Posted by: fireplace6899 (10517)  Report abuse
Whups Blind did not play left back.

Instead of keep pulling the players apart, why not give all of them credit for a great result.

Posted by: chatty (5030)  Report abuse
Just a bump up to the last but one post.

Posted by: broady (12468)   Report abuse
I watched the first hour, until a female version of Jarvo started caterwauling , and so I left but my decision was helped by another poor performance in my opinion. Still not convinced by Pogba.

Posted by: grimshaw (613)  Report abuse
Pogba will get better as will mikhy.

Big game sunday which will more than likely determine if a top four place is possible.

I dont think we will get beat but a win will put pressure on the berties and sticky fingers .

Posted by: laughing gravy (2295) Report abuse
BWAHAHAHAHAHA chatty really is obsessed with me,almost every time the sly skulkin little weasel posts he has to make a reference to me but what else would you expect from such a scrikin imbecile with the morals of crosseyed giggs

Posted by: broady (12468)   Report abuse
Grimshaw, Will all due respect a player that costs almost 90m and gets paid in excess of 1m a month should hit the ground running and play at the level expected of him almost weekly.

Posted by: chatty (5030)  Report abuse
"Happy Easter" would have sufficed.

No sign of any egg yet, I take it it's in the post!

PS, feel free to point out said "reference" to you?

Posted by: grimshaw (613)  Report abuse
Broady.

I take your point but .

Ive watched pogba closely in the the last couple of games he played and i m o he is simply trying over much to justify his huge price tag,he demands the ball when he shoudnt really have it and when he dosnt he drops deep looking for it..

I think next season a very different pogba will emerge at utd .hope so anyway .

Posted by: broady (12468)   Report abuse
Let's hope you are right Grimshaw. Looking forward to this afternoon. Enjoy.

Posted by: grimshaw (613)  Report abuse
