Oh no! He's off to Warrington. What a shame Wigan couldn't give him the contract he wanted

HI KATH, I think it's a matter of the tight-fisted wigan directors ,they did not offer MATTY SMITH an extra year or so ,also in the equation is in my book you dont let your good player's go to your enemy fact! and i'm sick of reading or hearing people say ( I DONT LIKE HIM) let him go then one said ( iv'e heard a lot of player's don't get on with him ) but KATH the most alarming item i have come across is that SAM TOMPKINS DAYS ARE NUMBERED WHY i hear you ask well he has allegedly had steel plate in his ankle i then do believe that if there is the slightest truth in that well i too think his day's are numbered .
Bye for now Kath have a nice day!

Very simplistic to say they are tight fisted. Wigan, like everyone else, have to operate within the constraints of the salary cap. Dom Crosby probably approached Wigan with a proposal for his contract and when they looked at it they decided they didn't want to pay him so much especially as they seem to have a lot of forwards. Dom then spoke to Warrington and agreed a contact which suited him with them. Dom only has a short playing career and has to utilize his earnings. Good luck to him at Warrington.

Another thing to consider is we don't have the full picture of what the club may/ may not have in the pipeline regarding transfers and they may need the monies saved for new signings.

It's a shame he's going, but at least it will free up the money for the two Saints props.

Hopefully the money they save can be invested in a goalkicker as we are in desperate need of one.

They will settle for a goal kicking programme seller at present.

Golden Bear--yes I've heard a lot of negative comments about Sam on facebook. I hope he is Ok and comes back as soon as he is fit. it's a tough sport isn't it and players pick up some bad injuries.

didn't Tommy kave a few goes at kicking goal?

Dom Crosby is not that brilliant .He played a game or two for Leigh a couple of years or so ago on dual contract, in the match against Fev one man said to me "what's yon mons name "Dominic Crosby I said He's dual contract from Wigan "bloody hell He said we'd of been better off with Bing bloody Crosby

They signed Frank ???? a few months ago and a French lad a week or two ago. I think that, injuries permitting, Tompkins and O' Loughlin will be used as props also. Club should be fit also.
