fellaini

Started by: grimshaw (3998)

fellaini is a liabilty in the utd side.
its a mystery to me how he keeps his place.when you look at the terrific midfield players in the utd midfield in recent years he dosnt come close .
he isnt a utd player .time for jose to sharpen the axe.

regarding rooney.
hes been a prem league player now for 15 years and i m o hes just about burned out.
gone are the days when he could float past the best defenders in this country and in europe .
whups is spot on, he isnt half the player he was .
mind you,ive watched utd for over 60 years and im struggling to recall a worse mid field than we have at present.
were is the great roy keane when we need him

grimshaw:/broady:

Wayne rooney is a spent force this goes back to the spat he had with fergie when chelsea were supposedly sniffing around him. The plain facts are very clear to see he is overwieght his ability to get into scoring positions has completely failed him these day's.

Similar with the England post the time he score's these day's are mainly from the spot!I would like to name someone in my view was at O/T that was ROY KEANE i am trying to draw similarities with the two. Of the two ROY KEANE is my man rooney will not achieve his level of midfield leadership as i say mu view! Now for the GIRAFFE Fellaini This guy should have never been at O/T that was down to MOYES, Staffbullterrier::: My reply to you is this these two would not have been employed as ball boys across the blue half ,i think my previous comments answer you, As for JOSE he is in a tricky position i think he has lost some of his mojo, after being out of work for a while my tip to him would be this January OFFLOAD ROONEY AND FELLAINI today they are not UNITED player's, my last comment is this i feel strongly about this and it's UNITED should have bought JOE HART would have been a good buy ! How's that to get you going !hahoha!

joe hart.joe f.rt more likely.
another player on borrowed time as an england player .

his gaffs in the recent euro comp was an embarrasment.

when i think back to all the terrific midfield players who have been at o t it makes me wince when i see the likes of fellaini.

ince .robson .keane ,scholes .and include eric in that if you like .he played as an advanced midfielder when tactics dictated

but i m o he needs a sustained run in the side .therein lies the problem at present.
jose dosnt seem to know what tactics to adopt with the current crop .
we need an iconic player in mid field like roy keane .a big wigan warriors fan i understand .but the likes of roy dont grow on trees ..best signing fergie ever made i m o

grimshaw, If you've watched united for 60 years it shouldn't be that hard to recall a worse midfield than present.

staff, Asking if Rooney and Fellaini would get in the City side is a moot point parlour game.
It's all about moulding a team, how many Leicester players would you have put in the City team this time last year yet they won the League by 10 points!

i take your point chatty.
im trying to think of a worse midfield than the present one .perhaps you know one
do you think city players put it all in last season..?.given it was the euro finals i think more than one or two had eyes on that and didnt want to miss out through injury .

i reckon leicester won the title because they caught out a lot of teams by the fitness and enthusiasm and not least by the tinker man..different story this season thats for sure ..

There is still no answer to this problem and although we won the title in Fergies last season the centre field was starting to raise its ugly head way back then and sad to say we still have the same problem. Viewed Liecester v Chelsea last night for me it was same old so-so chelsea were crap first half , what impressed with liecester was their energy in first 45 they seemed to be fit chasing ,harassing and accurate passing then my mind was jolted forward to this Saturday at O/T. 12.00 MIDDAY when we must try and stop it being 3 league games on the trot loss.

Hello Grimshaw, Again after watching him (rooney) last night i'm afraid to say there was nothing from him that gave me any hope, thrill, expectation he looks lost so if i had a choice he would be left out against Liecester i have no idea how Jose works with one to one ,but i'd sit him down have a damn good discussion with and give him a month if there is no improvement then it would be Sayonara in January .

Fa Cup quarter final away at West ham Fellaini scores the winner.

FA Cup semi final Fellaini scores the opening goal. Late on in the game makes the tackle that stops Everton taking the lead.

FA Cup Final makes the equalizer for Mata.

United win the cup with the help of Fellaini. FACT

Yes a phone in from people who have not been to the game.

No mention of Lingard whups.

You seem to think that, because he came through the ranks that he can play.

The Premier League stats show Fellaini to be the third best United player. Average marks 7.47 out of ten.

A lot of armchair fans on here who only see what they want to.

In other words a pass mark of 75%.

Fellaini playr for Belgium one of the best International teams in the world.

Give the lad a break and stop looking for his mistakes.

If he had played against west Ham when United lost 3-2, we would have been in the Champions League now.

be honest f/p you were an "armchair" fan when you did,nt go to games because you were playing football when others who are on here were going to the games ? .belgium only look good on paper & failed to deliver in the euros.i think fellaini has a higher pass rate than that in passing square & back.

No need for that whups. My first game was in 1959.

Still went to more games than most.

Soton away on a Wednesday night Ipswich on a Tuesday night.

Colchester on a Wednesday in 1979.

What is your record?

How long since you last went.

By the way I see Lingard was subbed again. I rest my case about him.

So who r you going to call today?

1962/63 season missed 5 games. not bad for a 12 year old.

There are people on here have only ever been "armchair fans".

Some have not been for over 20 years but still think they are fans.

What reasons are those whups?

How come you have not mentioned your "Favourite" being subbed again?

Because a player came through the ran ks does not make him a GOOD PLAYER.

The Warrington League beat the Wigan league 7-1 in the Inter League final at Springfield Park in 1967. Wigan had a good team. EG. Franny Calter Brent Atherton Paul Roby. i will post the programe for you Broady.

They did not keep him because Evans, Smalling, Jones and Rojo were in front of him.

LVG was fair to the player and let him move on.

Young players slipping through the net happens quite often at all clubs. Frank Stapleton had trials at United in the mid 70s and he ended up coming back as a big money signing later.
Apparently Gary Mc Allister was a massive United fan and went down to be looked at as a youngster then came back to Old Trafford later with Leeds and Liverpool amongst others.
David Platt is a well known example who went on to become England captain.
Fergie wrote a lovely letter to Pique when he was leaving saying he would end up coming back one day and haunting him, did he!!!
Having said that I saw him in one game for United we were getting bombarded in the air and he couldn't seem to handle it, he then goes back to Barca were the ball is on the floor most of the time and he looked a world beater, (horses for courses I suppose).
