But how many home fans?

Must have been more home fans than United game because you said both away clubs had the same ticket allocation. If you were correct that means Liverpool have more drawing power than United.

Saw plenty Liverpool shirts when we were out and about. Didn't venture down there on Saturday though.

Cant have had broady. Liverpool had both the east and the North stand. Both pretty much full. That would give them well in excess of 7000 tickets.

It was a better atmosphere than the Utd game too.

Goes without saying really.

Lverpool were allocated more tickets than United.

There was not enough time to sell more United tickets.

I explained in a previous post about this.

It would be a better atmosphere, there was a bigger crowd.

Pity Wigan had to rip off the United fans. That is the sign of a very small club.

"fireplace6899 (9782) Report abuse

both teams were given the same amount. look on the clubs web site"

So this wasn't you posting. People were trying to tell you that but you were rabbiting on about a poxy fiver. Just overcharge some unsuspecting drunk next time you pick one up. Job solved.

Wideboy get this straight "I never overcharge"

I was wrong about the tickets.

If it is just a poxy fiver.

Then why charge the extra poxy fiver?

Only small clubs do tricks like that.

Did you enjoy the game wideboy?

Friendliest aren't screened over here but it will soon be the season. I didn't say you overcharge I just suggested you do and get your fiver back as it obviously concerns you so much. Why feel the need to use insults?? A tad childish for someone of your advanced years.

Don't see it but if you say so it must be correct as you are never wrong!!! Oh but you were about tickets. Friendliest is the result of typing with a drink in hand. Must try better.

My hope for the coming season is that all the supporters of either Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors can come together and show their appreciation for each other and lets wish we can do what happened when both teams had that fantastic season a bit back>

The 18,426 attendance for the Liverpool game , easily beat our previous best attendance for a home Friendly ! On Monday May 1st 1950, over 16,000 watched Grimsby Town beat Wigan at Springfield Park 5-3 , with the great Tom Finney guesting for the Latics !
