Sacked by Manchester United.

I never thought that this club would stoop so low.

Seems to me that the club is rotten to the core, with the Glazers at the top of the table.

par for the course i'm afraid every manager in the last 50 years bar one has been sacked by united and only for him winning the fa cup he too would have been sacked..

Lowest goals for tally in a season for almost thirty years, didn't score in first half in at home in eleven games, didn't qualify for Europe and not very entertaining to watch. Granted they had a lot of injuries but style not United's. Rumoured he has £5 million to go away with. As an armchair spectator I think he had to go. I think a few players will be joining him.

If you already knew that for a fact why keep going on about "Utd not being a sacking club"

The fellow can have no complaints he came in saying it would take three months for the players to understand "his philosophy", maybe he should have studied the clubs philosophy, attacking entertaining football.
Has already stated some of the football played this season has been the direst since the Seventies.
No club has a divine right to win things or even finish in the top 4 but if you fall short playing entertaining football supporters will at least understand.
Lee Sharpe was on the radio a few weeks ago and he said he was still close to a member of the backroom staff who'd told him "van Gaal doesn't like players running with the ball". so football by numbers, enough said!
United couldn't afford to keep him another year falling further back and risk adding another three longer to turn it around.
As for Mourinho? Eighteen months ago I would have been against him taking over, but he does win games if not always with the flair expected of United teams, so there will have to be a compromise.
With most of the big clubs getting or recently having new managers(and City getting Pep} It has to be Jose.
The king is dead long live the king!

Just to put you straight Ladboy Sir Alex was never in danger of being sacked.

Broady get your facts right, "He did get the team into Europe"
Chatty I would not take too much notice of Lee (give us a drag)Sharpe. If LVG did not like players to run with the ball. Then why did he buy Martial?

Martials great asset is to run with the ball.

He was badly let down by ex United players. EG. Paul Scholes who did nothing but criticise LVG.

The same Paul Scholes who refused to play for United against Arsenal.

I will tell him next time I meet him.

chatty but is mourinho the right type of manager for united, its well documented united like to play youth, its also documented mourinho does not,so if thats true, the injury crisis happened at the right time.and rashford was given his chance.

farblood so fergie can get 5 years without winning anything and not be under pressure of the sack, moyes less than a year and gets sacked, van gall 2 years wins a trophy and gets sacked something does not add up theer unless fergie had photos of edwards looking under toilet doors.

Did he really want him? Martial seemed to be a last minute panic job to me, fortunately he looks like the real deal!

Jose' is going to have to be a bit more "humble" and toe the party line, let's not forget he's coming in off the back of a failure for the first time. We all know he likes to buy ready made players and fit them into a system, but I can't see him getting away with coming in and binning Rashford, Lingard et al

"He was badly let down by ex United players. EG. Paul Scholes who did nothing but criticise LVG." Does criticism not come with the territory?? TBH I think Scholes is a snake in the grass. I hardly heard him speak on any topic in the years he was at United but since he retired he does nothing other than knock them. What people will do for money. In terms of European football it is a poor substitute as I have no doubt you would have pointed out recently if Liverpool had won it.

Giggs is the rotten egg.

Why do United people praise this Welsh pillock?

What's he got over half the United staff?

Remove Giggs and Utd are whole again.

I repeat "Scholes refused to play for United at Arsenal" he seems to have forgot that.

Well I will remind him next time I watch Salford.

Some decent points made by Chatty and FP, but seeing how Utd supporters hated Jose, it just shows how fickle fans are in every sport, so long as their team win honours....

Giggs is a rotten egg.

A bad apple.

Utd need him not.

Fact.

Learn and live with it...Or die.
