Warriors attendances down over 2,000

Started by: wigvet (3549)

Sad to see in figures released today that Wigans average attendance fell last season from 13,669 to 11,528, a 16% drop

What do you put this down to?

The ‘system’/cost/general decline/ poor entertainment?

Will we ever see a 20,000+ crowd for a home league game again?

of the 12 teams only Hull & Saints showed an increase, and slight at that

The sad decline of rugby league.

Not long to go now.

Thursday night rugby no good for any one who travels and has to work FridaysHome matches played away in the most stupid of placesGames were the team as been totally boring and had very little idea of game play. These are a few things why the attendances are down.

What changes to style of play are you hoping to see from Lam/Edwards, Roy?

I'd like to see two new half backs and one of them a good goalkicker.

As I have said many times can you name two good half backs? A dearth of them in the UK. Any good Aussie will stop where the money is. Dream team stand off only plays there by default because Saints signed Barba. A week since Gale pulled out and no replacement named yet.

I’d like to see wigan play a little more expansive with the ball and perhaps ligh deeper when they have the ball..at times they seemed to be attacking too flat and this makes passing harder to complete....
