I'm with jarvo. Golf to me is like Formula one. It's all about big money and a sport for those with money. That's why I like rugby league. It's open to anyone to have a go and make something of it.

Do any of you know of the quite good golfer born in Wigan who won the Portugal masters a few years ago along with several well placed finishes? He retired several years ago owing to the severe disruption to family life.
His parents are on occasions two of my cruising companions, not the mega wealthy at all.

roylew , Im taking about getting actively involved in the sport. My son plays golf and apart from the clubs and club fees he has to wear paricular clothes. . I suppose if your lad joins a boys' rugby team you ahve to cough up for the kit though....

I play golf and have done for donkeys years .Tony Jacklins father worked at Scunthorpe steel works and look what he acheived from a working class upbringing.

I dont wear particular clothing ,just decent trousers and polo shirt and a pullover if cooler.

One reason why i play golf and love playing is that i can play at all the top courses in g b on payment of a green fee ,including at St Andrews the home of golf

Apart from a change of footwear you can wear the same clothes that you shop in or go to a football game or the pub.

My son can't wear jeans or waterproofs. No sports tops - not even a Wigan shirt!

I find it all difficult to fathom out. Is Pogba a disruptive influence or has the manager lost the dressing room? I have to admit I have never been a Pogba fan. Bailley and Lindelof look out of their depth. Having said that JM was responsible for signing them all. Is the manager talking rubbish just to divert attention from a poor team? I do know that apart from City last year I don’t recall getting too much enjoyment from watching them and their style of football. Was always impressed with Sanchez at Arsenal but he looks completely out of sorts. They are too big a club too let it go on much longer.
