Wigan v Huddersfield at Central Park Sept 1950

Started by: spudmagoo (1167)

Hi everyone. I am cataloguing some black and white rugby photographs from the T Gerrard studio in the middle of the last century. One pic shows 2 Wigan players running on the left wing. There shirt numbers are 4 (left centre) and 5 (left wing). I am trying to name them. Can anyone help or at least point me in the right direction.

On the 9th September 1950 Wigan beat Huddersfield 48-13. Number 4 on that day was George Roughley and Number 5 Brian Nordgren. They both scored two tries in that game.

Thank you for that. Very much appreciated. Did Nat Silcock play in the same game?
