if Carlsberg made weeks
Started by: 0 years (3582) Report abuse
So this week, City announce:

1) Record revenues and profits.

2) Sale of 10% of CFG to Glazer's compatriots to make them the second most valuable sports brand in the world.

3) Pep indicates he would be happy to stay beyond his current contract.

4) The Chairman indicates the same stating that Pep is central to the future development of the club.

5) CFG announce the purchase of their eighth global club in Mumbai City.

6) Sterling is offered a new contract.

7) City top their Champs League group.

8) The owners set a further 10 year strategy.

oh, and the corner shop loses to the mighty Astana in the "also rans" Thursday trophy.

..........if Carlsberg made weeks!

With all that going on you think there'd be enough interest in them to fill a stadium on a Champions League night, but no it's just like every other week.

If only Carlsberg did authenticity.

Posted by: laughing gravy (5070) Report abuse
HAHAHAHA did i just read the above from one mon who soon geet back or more like did NOT FILL a seat last neet, but in his tiny mind thts OK...

Posted by: 0 years (3582) Report abuse
......and that's all you've got (oh, and "istree").

How times change.

Posted by: whups (4107)   Report abuse
so wots your istory in the champions league ? .

Posted by: chatty (7096)  Report abuse
You're the one starting threads trying to convince people how City are somehow relevant, I'm just pointing out, not relevant enough to put bums on seats.

Posted by: 0 years (3582) Report abuse
Not really, by highlighting City's increasing relevance it simply highlights the corner shop's increasing irrelevance.

Also, it's good to hear you lot squeal.

Posted by: chatty (7096)  Report abuse
That squeal was laughter after me pointing out that in the midst of 'Citys ever increasing relevance' they still can't fill a stadium on a Champions League night, so whatever the'increase' it doesn't seemed to have punctured the consciousness of the general public, or maybe it has and they're just not arsed.

It appears that our new "part owner" has invested a "massive" amount of money in the project to build a new world class arena next to the Etihad. More revenue for City I assume.

Not daft our owners.

And all you can do is squeal about empty seats, just listen to yourself!

If Carlsberg made weeks!

Posted by: 0 years (3582) Report abuse
Talking about flying kites, our owner owns 38% of Virgin Galactic.

City, next stop Universal domination!

Posted by: chatty (7096)  Report abuse
Yea you've never seen a photo of a rough sleeper anywhere ever before have you!
The 'nasty' bit is denying they exist.

"If Carlsberg (the sponsors of Liverpool by the way) made weeks"...............they'd have City drawing at Newcastle on the Saturday and relinquishing the title.

Posted by: whups (4107)   Report abuse

""If Carlsberg (the sponsors of Liverpool by the way) made weeks"...............they'd have City drawing at Newcastle on the Saturday and relinquishing the title."

I think people in plastic houses (those who haven't, and have never had a cat in hell's chance of winning the league this season), shouldn't throw stones.

Never mind, we must settle for having a go at this champs league trophy thingy instead, as a consolation.

How are the corner shop doing in both the Premier League and the Champs League competitions this season BTW?

Posted by: whups (4107)   Report abuse
crow while you can schoolteacher because it will all come crashing down very soon & lets see what you have to say then.

Posted by: 0 years (3582) Report abuse
At least we agree on one thing. At some point it will come crashing down. It always does, no club can be top dog forever, just look at the corner shop.

However, when it does I won't be bothered, just like I wasn't bothered travelling to Wrexham away for a Boxing Day league game. In those days Wales was the nearest City got to Europe, it was a different type of fun but fun nevertheless.

Only those with a feeling of entitlement worry and whinge when the good times end......but then again, you'd know all about that.

Pereira and Fred in again today On the plus side Jones isn't there. 2-0 to United.

Posted by: broady (15087)   Report abuse
What a colossal error. Got it in my head it was a 10.30 KO. What a plonker.

Posted by: broady (15087)   Report abuse
Poor midfield from what I saw of the game (second half) Martial poor again.

Posted by: laughing gravy (5070) Report abuse
did you bet on 2-0 broady?

Posted by: broady (15087)   Report abuse
No it was on my predictor that we pay to in Los Cristianos. I had a disastrous week. Will be interesting to see what wins it.

Good grief, it's been at least 12 months since I last saw that one, do you keep it in a box with your Christmas decorations?

Posted by: laughing gravy (5070) Report abuse
when was your last away game never goes?

Posted by: 0 years (3582) Report abuse
"Good grief, it's been at least 12 months since I last saw that one, do you keep it in a box with your Christmas decorations?"

I might even "treat" you to my York City away tale yet.......and don't even get me started on Macclesfield Town!

Posted by: Tiger cat (219) Report abuse
Yes if carlsberg made weeks, spurs and city beaten, the kids did well.
