Challenge cup final

Started by: peawapp (5107)

We'll all be watching no doubt ,some of us will be going to the match ,should be a decent game ,who do we want to win, I'm in two minds ,it could be Wire as one of my Great Grandmas hailed from Warrington and also my Brother-in-law is Joe Philbins Uncle ,but on the other hand I've been watching the young Saints lads ,like Richardson, Eaves, Smith, Costello ,Batchelor ,and one or two more run out in the red and white of Leigh this Season and enjoyed their performances so it could be Saints for me ,so lets have a good match and some good Rugby ,anyway I'm looking forward to it and hope it's a good un

I think Saints have too much pace for Warrington. Plus they have three good props. Too many big stage players in all positions. Warrington will have a few players short of match fitness and Wembley is a big pitch. Saints by twenty plus.

Col, funnily enough, I thought it had been played...

Such is the media build-up and interest...NOT.

Jarvo there is enough coverage of the matchWho needs all day coverage like the poofballI don't need to watch a poofballer have his breakfast then all day pundits telling me how the game should pan out.Followed by half time crap and again after the game crap from half a dozen overpaid pundits

sky coverage of football is worse than watching the nfl .5 hrs of gab and twenty minutes of "action".
any game of rugby is more entertaining than premier league football and i include union in that statement.

Big decision in an hour or so. Do I watch the cup final or the cream of the PL against Palace. After that Liverpool and Arsenal. I think the Rugby will win out because the box I use to stream the BBC won’t let me record. A Saints and United double I think.

Always next year. Well played Warrington. Ratchford very unlucky as his performance would have won the Lance Todd most years.

What was the crowd yesterday. Also that Mickey Mouse cup final after it was a waste of electric there must have been all of 200 left watching it.

I did kathpressey enormously my 4th visit first one 1955 aged 11 Barrow v Workington 1956 aged 12 St Helens v Halifax and 1971 of course Leigh v Leeds ,to see the great Alex Murphy viciously headbutted to the floor by the evil Syd Hynes ,I was with the Wire fans some of who stayed behind and were highly delighted with the day as it got better for them as they appeared to hate Widnes

Not many Wembley finals left for RL.

The top tier was closed off.

How sad.

Surely you aren't on about that Mickey Mouse cup in Europe. I am talking PL. They are on TV here every week. Will make an effort to watch them this week.
